Calf too small
The boots are so amazingly beautiful and good looking on me, but the calf is very narrow.... I never had this problem before. I don't think my calfs are big, because I can fit in every boot I had ever purchase or tried. I always wear 8 and take 8.5 for any boots, so I take a 8.5 for this one. It's super tight on calf after I zip it up but wide around my ankle. Even though I can zip it up but it's too tight, I can't wear any pants but only with bare legs or thin tights (the transparent/ sheer one.. not the patterned nor opaque..). Considering carefully before you order this boots, because even though you have confidence to your calf, it still might be too small for you! I'm considering about return this back... oh no I really love them :(

These boots are perfect looking in person - everything I was looking for in a fall boot. The calf size, however, was SO tight I couldn't even zip them up. I never have this problem, and from reading other reviews I know it is not just me. I tried to size up, but even though I could zip them, it felt like the zipper would bust. Unfortunately had to return.

Love them
Beautiful boots, I did have to send the first pair back because they were really big. I have always been a 7 1/2 but had to get a 7 in these boots.

narrow calf
I love the leather and hardware on these boots. However, I found the calf to be very narrow. I could only zip the boot about 3/4 of the way up. I have another pair of Tory Burch boots in the same size (the Jess Platform Boot) that fits me fine. I don't think I have particularlly large calves, but I seem to have this problem with flat Tory Burch boots. I also ordered the very similar Nadie riding boot from nordstorm during the semi-annual sale and had the same problem. I was hoping the Calista would fit differently but it does not. I also found the ankle to be very stiff/tight/painful on both the Nadine and Calista. I guess Tory Burch riding boots are just not for me. I will have to stick with Frye.

Love these Boots
These boots are well made and very comfy. I can fit my custom orthopedics insoles without any problem. I only wish the boot shaft is a bit wider, because not everyone has skinny model legs. So it's a bit tight when try to zip up at the top. Overall, it's a beautiful pair of boots. I received lots of compliments on them already.

Doesn't wear well
The boots look great and they do run big in the foot. I have small calves, so they are perfect on top. I bought these boots hoping to wear them for many years to come, but they are already scratched after I've worn them twice. On the leather, it is pretty obvious--the scratch looks white, and I can't fix it with regular brown shoe polish. I'm going to have to take them to a shoe repair shop to see if they have matching polish to fix up the scuff. Very disappointed in how they wear, considering the price!

Beauty is more than looks
These look great, but the leather is very hard. I personally love nice soft nappa leather or in between. This gives me blisters on the ankle everytime I wear them. My ankles litterally bleed. Coco Chanel wisely said luxury is not luxury unless it's comfortable. I'd trade these in an instant. Plus, as other reviewers have said, it's very tight around the ankle, and in a struggle to get them on/off the heel pulled away. I will have to take them to a repair shop - not the quality one would expect. But they really do look good! So maybe I can have a friend break them in. Or pad up my ankle first.

Tory Burch "Calista"
I wanted to invest in a pair of tall boots, instead of buy one every season. Well, I do!
First, I choose the black one. This is a gorgeous tall boots, really classy, the leather is stiff tho but still good quality, the gold hardware are really nice & not too "Hi I'm wearing a brand did you see me". Second, around the ankle it's a little small, just a little but it's gonna be better with a lot of wearing. They do runs large, I usually wear 9, but had too choose 8 1/2, so ladies size down. I always have hard time to find tall or over-the-knee boots who fit my calves perfectly, well those boots do, it's really a plus for me. I'm 5'6', 130lbs & they're just under my knees. Get them, I didn't pay the full price for those boots (I love quality & good brands, doesn't mean you have to pay the full price for... ;) hihi). They still worth the price tho.
Overall, I love Tory Burch brand it's my second pair, I have the "Reva" & love them too.
