Designer
Born in Italy, Gabriella Cortese learned embroidery and dressmaking from her grandmother before moving to Paris to study art at age 18. My 4th Scarf Designed By Antik Batik
My 4th scarf by Antik Batik. All four are gorgeous. Two of the four I've had for approximately 3 years & worn quite a bit, year-round. The scarf I'm currently reviewing is especially pretty. I actually bought a very similar version in orange & purple about 6 months ago; thus, I was relatively certain I'd like this scarf. And I do like it; a lot! I highly recommend it, especially at the sale price. However, just a small negative: My version of the scarf arrived with the white wiry threads - that the embellishments are sewn on with - strangely hanging in loops and loose. I expect to get caught on them. I even had to cut a very long piece of the thread/wiry string off. If I lived in the U.S., where returns are free, I'd ask for a replacement. I'm keeping this one, UNLESS after I try it on the wire-like threads are more problematical than I anticipate.
As a final note. I never think to give a "shout out" to the amazing staff at shopbop. UR the BEST!!!
