Designer

At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a look that won Wang the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award in 2008.

This bag is too cute
After hemming and hawing for months over the Diego Bucket bag, I made an almost impulse purchase of the Angela Pouchette because I needed something for an upcoming evening. This bag has two of the features I love in the Diego - the leather and the studs - - but without the weight. It is larger than it appears. It can hold a full-sized wallet, camera, cellphone, sunglasses, make-up pouch, and keys and hangs conveniently on my arm. I love that I can use it for day or evening and that it sits on my car seat without tipping over. The only real problem with this bag is the way the strap snaps together. The snap is not super-tight and has opened on me more than once.
