I bought this dress in red, and it is a very flattering color---even against my ultra-fair skin. However, I was somewhat surprised by the fabric itself---it somehow makes the dress seem a little more casual than one would expect. (It sort of looks like cotton t-shirt material.) On the plus side, I think that means you might be able to dress it down (the black version especially, maybe with a cardigan and flat boots?), and it is very soft and comfortable. Overall, I would say this is a very good dress, especially for the price!
