Meh ...
This top was mystifyingly and disappointingly meh. It had all the right contradictions of tough and soft, but something happened from there that made this bunchy and a little too voluminous and drapey on my chest (30F). It just didn't feel right--especially not for this price. If you're less busty, maybe it'll work for you. The construction was beautiful, as is so often the case with this brand.

Much better in real life than on site
I bought this top from another retailer, and it continues to surprise me with its drape (elegant, flattering) and proportions (the depth of the collar, the style of the back). It's also very comfortable, stylish and a great work staple. It's longer on me than on the model, who has about 9 inches on me, but works nonetheless. If I have a suggestion/beef it is that the color could have been punchier/more saturated. I compensate for that by pairing it with a shinier textured black legging (Joseph dual-texture) and tough shoes--boots or platforms--to give it some extra oomph. I've found Yigal hit and miss this season ... glad to report that this was a hit!

Schlumpa dumpa
Really wanted to love this sweater--I like the way it's styled on the site, the color seemed interesting (though, naming gods, what GEYSER gushes this green, I ask you?), and the texture looked yummy. OK. So I buy, I receive, I try ... and the texture is in fact wonderful, soft and with a great loft. Everything else ... another story. The sweater is so huge, and with the high shawl collar and a large chest on a small frame, it looked sloppy vs. chic. I tried it with a Thomas Wylde black leather vest with an oversize collar, and that helped, but it covered up the much-vaunted burnout pattern on the back ... which though described as unique is merely confusing. I'm all for interest exiting a room, but this wasn't even that interesting. So ... back it went. Try again, AW!

Too big, too floppy, too bad ...
I am a diehard R&B fan and bought this pair to wear with the Edward scarf in fuchsia/black (which I love) in what I thought would be a cozy pairing. Unfortunately, these gloves are anything but. I have average size hands, but the top/flap on these gloves is too large, which creates a gap between the top of my hand and the top of the glove. The weave/material is best described as "cold"--it isn't plush, it isn't luxurious, and compounds that air pocket created by the extra space I mention above. Finally, the colors are washed out even relative to what I see on screen (the scarf, by contrast, is beautifully saturated). All of this is unfortunate--but most unfortunate of all, I took the tags off before I put them on, so excited was I to pair Edward and Claire. $125 wasted ... good lesson for the future! Not sure what i'll do with them--but wear them I will not ....

Yummmmmmm!
Fun, cozy scarf with a nice edge and saturation. Long enough to create volume without losing one's neck! Perhaps could have been a little softer, especially for the price! This said, love it and look forward to multiple wears this fall and winter.

Love love love
This is a gorgeous, beautifully tailored piece--very chic, sexy while being very tasteful and fashion-forward. It is VERY long--but I am also only 5' 1/2"--so had to take it in to my seamstress to alter the length by about 8 inches. but the good news is that all that length came off the leg, with no length-related alterations required in the body. Because of how it falls on me, and because i'm a demon about tailoring, i also had the darts at the back lengthened to help it drape better (it was a little too loose/poufed out in the back) . I will also get a tack or two put in in the front seams for the same reason. I love this piece and expect it will be very versatile in the black, from work to cocktails, just with a change of outerwear/topper. Great to see Shopbop carrying it! Also, not super-related to this piece, but love the customer service when i call--thank you Amy!

Loved the idea of a waxed jean--i own a waxed pair by Notify and it is a staple in my closet. This pair was soooo tight to pull on, despite my getting it in my usual size--but, ironically, once on, it was a little baggy in the knee. Also a note, since i haven't seen this feature written up yet in the reviews of this item, the zipper is TINY. If the fit were to size, this may not have been an issue, but given that these jeans were tight, the tiny zipper opening made this really hard to pull on. Too bad because i was loving these on the model on the site--i also love j brand but this one is not for me. P.S. The color, too, was lighter than it looked on my monitor.

Not worth the price!
I love Superfine as a brand and own several pairs. I was intrigued by the textural contrast in this pair, so ordered it in my usual size. The jeans have nice stretch, and the textured/ribbed panel FEELS good on the skin. But unfortunately, that's all I can say in the positive column. The pocket opening is so long that, combined with the stretch in the fabric, you get a gapping ar the pocket. The distressing doesn't create a flattering effect in this particular jean, either. So, unfortunately, back these went.

another hit from CE
I love every pair of CEs I own and this is no exception. I wore them yesterday with a black sweater, my new R&B boots, and an Akris techno gilet from a few seasons ago. Felt like a zillion bucks and got tons of compliments. One caveat--though I sized down to a 24 from my usual 25, this pair is even slouchier than the fit guide implies. I could have done a 23 no problem, but it isn't available in my color of choice. So ... bring out the belt is all.

Really wanted to love this dress but it's just plain too bulky. It's going back.
