Winter Kate
Victoire Long Dress
Great fit; item quality concerning
At first glance this may bring frumpy window drapes to mind - the fit saves it. However, it is unclear whether the item will hold up for more than one wearing. Similar to another reviewer, the dress I received had its boning poking out and jabbing at me. Also, the fabric arrived ripped near the zipper. Reminiscent of outlet condition, at the current discount level this is harder to stomach, never mind that it's extremely uncomfortable (like being needled) when worn. Even with repair, not sure the fabric is robust enough for the boning to keep its shape, even if it hadn't come with the damage to this particular item that previous shoppers had done. I love that the XS fits like a dream (many dresses gape at the waist), though.

Wanted to like these
I wanted to like these. It's been too hot to wear high-heel sandals and the dressy-ish outfits that would go with those - I've spent the entire months of June and July in casual shorts and plain denim minis, and really wanted a 'flatform', dressed-down shoe for days I don't feel like flip-flops. These, like another reviewer said, don't really strike you as $225 MSRP. I like the bands and where they're positioned, but aside from that the material feels wrong for the price. And, I just feel 'cheap' standing in these with tank + shorts on. Switching to a fancier outfit doesn't help either.

Sienna color feels 'off' in person
Love great majority of T by AW - really low price points considering the quality of this diffusion line, too, Wanted to love this tank - but the color Sienna is very orange-y in person. "Yuck" sounds really harsh but that was my first thought when un-wrapping this. *sigh*

A.L.C.
Knit Maxi Dress
Great look, less-than-worthwhile fabric
Was really looking forward to this for its monochrome, length and summer-y feel. Did not care for the fabric - would have appreciated cotton, light-weight wool/cashmere, or even linen - something other than rayon (which I feel has a cheaper 'hand' to it). I wear XS in A.L.C. but found this to be a lot more restrictive on a 24" waist, and unflattering, counter to the casual cool that I would have liked this to project.

Frumpy on me...
This looks edgy and fresh as modeled...but frumpy on me. :(

James Perse
Pull On Long Skirt
Not as sleek in person
Looks much sleeker/ "citified" in the pic. Can't be a body-type thing as my measurements match the model's. In person - it feels a bit too sweat-pants-y (Britney circa her 'Juicy' years).

Conservative or sexy?
It feels as though the dress can't make up its mind... On me, the neckline fits more like a short "mock" neck rather than a crew, lending it a bit of a stuffy air...otherwise the shadow stripes and the bodycon fit are eye-catching. Perhaps the neckline would fall lower if I sized up from XS; but then the waist wouldn't be fitted...

Too cropped...
Love the leather arm patches. It's too bad that the length is short, which isn't much help to the wet-suit look/feel.

I'm sizing up
Having a 24" waist, I wasn't concerned about fitting into the XS - maybe I should have been! I expected this to fall down a bit more and to look less "micro", more "pencil". Sadly, I'll be sizing up to the S. The skirt is cute otherwise.

Scratchy...
Cute cut-out design makes this edgy. ;) But, I'm finding the cashmere to be scratchy - and I'm not even one of those wool-averse people!
