Sexy Wool.
Boiled wool - really! This dress has a fantastic fit and the asymmetric sleeve and patterning truly make it rock. Very high quality construction. I usually take a size up in dresses and have the waist and hips taken in, yet the smaller size of the two I ordered fit great - not too tight across the top. The fabric has a bit of natural stretch and the cut prevents the wool from looking bulky. Wore it to a party last night and can't wait to wear it again next week to a work function. I have a feeling this will be a "come back to" dress for years to come.

Excellent quality
I love how contemporary designers are crafting leather pants/leggings today without a lot of added bulk. With thicker hides and linings, leather pants tend to add too much bulk to anyone shorter than a runway model. Not the case with these, they fit much like J Brand jeans. These have a subtle texture to them and are an interesting black - kind of brownish/bronzeish undertones. They were too loose in my hips and calves and somewhat overall. I may have needed the smaller size to try yet SB is sold out... I wish I had ordered two sizes to begin with. I will keep my eye out for a return.

Unique Cocktail Dress
I'll take mustard and olive green any way I can, and they are perfect in this muted, yet riveting, little number. The touch of metallic thread is nice and the pleating in the bust and along the back seam are outstanding features. I typically wear a 0 in pants and skirts and generally wear a 2 in dresses and jackets because of an unfortunately-sized chest. With the right strapless bra (Fantasie), this 2 offers good structure and enough coverage so 32DD cleavage does not steal the show (I need to take some in off the sides and waist, hence it's true to size). Actually, this is the first strapless I have ever bought/felt comfortable with the way it fit. My agency's annual charity event in September is going to be a long time to wait to wear this!

Versatile.
I thought this looked familiar... NL offered this dress in a slightly more muted paisley a couple of autumns ago. I almost returned it because I was wanting a more shift-like fit. Good thing I didn't, as this little frock has come out to play on a variety of occasions. Just change shoe heights and styles and it's ready for nearly anything. Also looks good with black tights and boots in winter. The bell-like skirt works with me because the bodice is fitted. Men compliment the dress and then seem to be quite impressed that it has pockets (?). Handy, I guess, if you want to sneak off with some extra hors d'ouvres. The video is truthful in that it shows a lot of leg. I am 5'5" and it hits me similarly.

Gorgeous.
Such a nice fabric and cut. It took some adaptation for me with the higher rise, yet a very clean silhouette. I am between sizes and vacillated, depending on time of day, when determining which size to send back. The smaller was great in the hip and leg openings, yet was motivating in terms of bloat etc. in the waist. Since these are so spare, I am thinking to wear these with a paler silk point-collared blouse (rolled up sleeves) and high heeled sandals (last summer's rocking Camilla Skovgaards!) to look casual-elegant, versus too TOO. I never found "this summer's white dress" and I think these shorts and an ivory silk blouse are - TAG! - it. Flat sandals and a looser top (untucked) will be nice for more standard vacation or afternoon party situations.

Great red color
Agh! I am pale, with dark eyes and hair and here comes along a red shade that does not make me look anemic or like a zombie... I just wish the pleats at the armhole did not come at the expense of exposing about 1" of bra band. Even if I wear a flesh-colored bra, I don't think this will float at work. The pleating at the sides is the best feature and nothing I'd want to hide with a jacket or sweater. I am 5'5" - maybe taller women will not have this problem. Or a camisole may work.

Nice crop
The Theory website warned these ran large. From Shopbop, I ordered the size I have in 2 other Theory pants (incl. Max) and then a size smaller. I tried the smaller on first and the waist/legs were fine, but then too much fabric in the thighs. The cut, fabric, and quality are typical of Theory - very high quality for the moderate pricing. However, this pant is not the best design for a (excuse LedZ ref!) 'skinny-legged-woman.' Curvier ladies may find a very good slim pant! I like the zippers at the ankle.

Wood and grey - nice!
I love the shape of the heel. At some point in a season, all of the things you like end up looking the same and then finally something stands out (even though they are grey and brown!). I have not worn these yet, so they may even be 5 stars. Nice leather. Good style for work and social events. I typically wear a 38.5 and a US 8 (B). Sometimes the 38/8 conversion works out, but not for these. The 38.5 was what I needed.

Great for between-seasons!
These look great and I think will wear beautifully! Rather comfortable and I (stupidly?) seldom care if my work/dress shoes are comfortable to walk in. The heel height (and lack of platform sole) makes them fine for a work environment, yet they aren't too square-looking for less buttoned-up venues. I usually wear a 38.5 if a line has European sizing and these were too large, hence I had to go down to my American size of 8 (38). I am visiting Shopbop right now to find another sandal so I don't over-wear these! They are beginning to go with most everything I have bought for spring... (there's a grey Coclico wedge that's looking quite fine, btw!)

A useful basic
I tried these on in a store and wasn't sold. When ShopBop offered these in black, I thought I might feel differently and I do. The fit is a "slim relaxed" if that makes sense. I received these the day before I left for vacation and took them along just in case... great idea, as I wore them 3 or 4 times (eventually looking like I slept on a park bench, but that's cool too!). A great weight for Buenos Aires' mid 80's and humid weather. I think I know my go-to black pants for the midwest's pending melt-your-face-off summer! I like them both rolled and ankle-length, depending on shoes.
