My favorite boots!
I've had these for at least a year now. I absolutely love them, and I wear them with skinnies tucked into them, long slim dresses, even short party dresses. I decided I had to have a pair of the JCs after looking at a picture of Riley Keough (Elvis' grand-daughter) wearing a floral slipdress with a leather jacket and these boots.I have to say the straps are different on each shoe; meaning that one boot wraps up pretty nicely, but the other wraps kinda sloppy and I have to make an adjustment that the buckle can't accomodate without me probably having another hole punched into my shoe. But still -- this boots if fabulous!!! (And I believe I bought these with a code.) I have to say, don't wear these in the snow if you're not into a "distressed, worn" look -- I wore these to Berlin for New Year's 2011 and wore them EVERYWHERE -- in the snow. The leather around the soles started to curl up, and I think some of the leather started chafing. But who cares? This is not a prim shoe.

Go down a size
C/E jeans are fabulous and these don't disappoint with soft denim that instantly provides a worn-in feel straight out of the package. These jeans should go on initially snug (they loosen up as do most jeans) -- which means go down a size (but we all know this is a matter of personal style and taste). It's worth mentioning that the holes and destruction are unique to each pair, and you may find that depending on your movement, you may stretch out a rip or two and even expand an already existing hole -- if you are uncomfortable with the thought of that happening to a pair of $200+ jeans, you may want something with milder distress and very little destruction. C/Es are great jeans, even better on sale -- but I have to admit I bought these full-price. They were a must!

Acid-bright color & great for walking!
I wanted these shoes last year in either the flourescent yellow or pink. I missed the boat and when I saw these in red (on sale!) I had to get them. Great choice! I read the reviews about how these shoes made buyers' feet "look long." But since I wear size 10 shoes, what does it matter to me? Take a look at the silhouette of the show, simple straps across the top, back-zip strap -- not much else going on so of course the length of the shoe will be more prominent. Are these shoes comfy? Yes. Cute? Yes. I walked up and down the Vegas strip during the day in these shoes, in preparation for dancing all night in non-cushioned heels. Only reason I didn't give these shoes 5 stars is because the leather was so delicate at the toe (or I'm such a rough walker) that a bit of the leather had already scratched off. So glad I got these shoes on sale!!!

Finally something that works
I pulled this out of the package thinking, "really?" REALLY! I need to buy more, this is so nice. If you're looking to create a smoother silhouette underneath your body-con dresses or your form-fitting tees tucked inside your tight denim skirts, then this is it. If you're trying to shave off a size or two then this is not what you need (only cardio + carb-free will do that). My tummy is hardly flat, and this particular Spanx tones down an otherwise rounded mid-section profile. I'd love to have more F&F to use for this. I bought the nude and definitely need the black -- at least two, in fact.

Amazing.
I was hesitant to buy these, but I've been hurting for a pair of leather pants really bad (I have to have a pair of Currents). I have another pair of Joe's 28s and they were very snug -- and those are denim (trouser) jeans. But I did my research and read the reviews so I figured just stick with my usual jeans size (28). I was a bit scared when I opened the box and when I showed them to my (larger-sized) coworker, the first thing that came out of her mouth was, "are your sure those will fit?" I told her there are some things she should keep to herself. So when I came home and those pants felt so touchy and pliant and I slinked right into them, I jdidn't keep it to myself, and totally texted said coworker to let her know "the size 28 jeans fit!" and rub it in real good. Those are a bad-a** pair of leather jeans! And that gorgeous dark red color. Totally worth the money (and on sale!). Can't wait to buy another pair of leather pants/jeans. These jeans should totally fit snug.

Chic boots made for walking
Sturdy, stylish boots. If you're a city girl who gets around town walking and catching trains and buses, this is a great boot. It's high enough where most knee length skirts will meet and/or cover the top of the boot (if that's your thing, I like clean lines and don't like large breaks unless I'm wearing a mini and even then my boots will be ankle or bootie-style). Please also note that the boot is high enough that it bends back at the back of the knee. The shaft is split at the back of the knee with an elastic inset; if you think you will be bothered by having to break in the back of the boot at the knee, don't get them. These boots hit directly at the bottom of the knee -- and I have long legs. I did not find the shaft too tight either, and I'm a runner with toned, muscular calves. Also keep in mind the elastic inset, so unless you do crazy-heavy lifts with your legs, you shouldn't have a problem in my opinion. I plan on wearing these boots mostly with skirts and dresses.

Most adorable dress!
I was a little hesitant about receiving this dress -- being knit and all, I was dreading that it would turn out be a thin, unforgiving flimsy knit. I was wrong! It's a relatively thicker knit (not too thick, but thick enough to hug and tighten up loose spots (but don't get me wrong, this is not a dress made of Spanx). I've got a (non-curvy) athletic-type body, with a thickish high waist, so the peplum gave me some definition. The color is gorgeous -- a bright royal blue, and the peplum is more like "bubble peplum." That said, unless you're tall and thin, know that you will have to adjust your angles for pictures; otherwise, you may end up looking distorted. I wore this to the Bastille Day party at the French Embassy in Kabul with a Chanel pocket-in-the--city bag and zip-up sandal booties (Charlie My Luvs bought on shopbop as well). It's a simple dress that stood out (in a nice conservative way of course).

Amazing jeans, comfortably tight
These jeans are soooo comfortable. I'm amazed they're 96% cotton -- material feels like a twill, I was actually disappointed until I saw the fabric composition; I'm partial to cotton/stretch combos and generally prefer 98/2 blends. The material is thin, but not flimsy, totally form-fitting but not constricting. True to size, I generally buy 28s in COH, JBrand, C/E, TR. I bought these jeans because I wanted a burnt orange after seeing a girl in the street with tight legging-style jeans in the same color. And can you beat the price point????

nice, warm and comfy
This coat keeps me warm in Kabul -- it's super cold in Afghanistan right now. The only thing wrong is that it doesn't have a hood. But that clearly wasn't a deal-breaker as I proceeded with purchasing it. I've worn this jacket in large-sized armored tanks and on helicopters. It survived. What more can you ask for?

Size up for these JBrands!
These would have gotten 5 star if they fit and I didn't have to return them. On the day I tried the size 28 Martinis, I was wearing my size 28 JBrand skinnies. I was shocked and in disbelief that these SUPER-FLY colored denim flares were tight as heck and although I could button and zip them up, I had yucky muffin-top. Sure, from the waistband below my lower half looked hot with the tight thigh flaring out to a super bell, but muffin top? I passed and sent them on their way back to shopbop land. Stalking these jeans til a 29 comes in.
