The small Emile's size is perfect for me; roomy, yet not too big. I was surprised by how structured this satchel is and I do love the detachable shoulder straps. An ideal bag to wander/explore a new city with... Great bag!

Buttery leather
I fell for this one when seeing all the photographs of Olivia Palermo carrying this beaut during London Fashion Week. I bought this during the Summer 2012 and the bag has kept it's shape pretty well. The leather quality must have gone south since I've purchased it because my bag is the smoothest, buttery-est leather amongst many of the handbag in my collection. The bag is pretty large as many have noted in their reviews. I was a bit overwhelmed at first but learned to embrace it. This is a very unique shaped bag as it was made to resemble a picnic basket. Was extremely pleased with this purchase.

Well made
I had been an admirer of the Cambridge Satchels for quite some time but only decided I needed one too back during Fall of 2012 in red. For $140 I was quite surprised by the durability of the leather and how sharp it looked. The satchel is tough and retains its shape quite well. I will agree the buckle closure is a bit of a hassle to fumble with when opening/closing. One "con" that i can think of is that the bag retains its shape so well it doesn't accommodate for much space from the interior of the satchel. My husband was impressed by the bags as well and decided he wanted the large messenger sized bags (the batchel with the top handles) to use for work to carry his laptop.

Nice bag but...
I've purchased this bag back in October 2012 and only getting to review this now... After the IT Celine bag craze I fell for this one. Upon the first usage i've noticed the bag is rather heavy and the detachable shoulder straps are placed somewhat low and so the top portion of the bag's weight is not really supported. The hardware closure is awkward as everyone has mentioned but I guess not a huge deal to me since I rarely ever close it up. I do want to mention I was VERY disappointed that Shopbop sent me a less-than-perfect bag. The bag had an obvious deep crease (approx 4 inches) down the middle. Unfortunately I did not send it back because I had ordered for a trip and there was no time to return. I wish I could post a picture. I love that they've since issued a medium sized Pashli bag. Too bad it was not yet available back in October of last year. If it had I would have gone for that one instead.
