too tight
I love the look of this dress but it is just way too tight in my bust & hips. I am 5'4", 32D, 28 waist, and I ordered Medium. The length was adjustable, the fabric was light but substantial enough so that it wasn't see-through. Unfortunately, on me, the shoulders were too loose while the bust/hips were too tight--it hugs every single curve on your body. I also agree with the reviewer who said it is difficult to get on/off. Too bad, I love the look of this dress and it's very well made--just doesn't suit my body type.

not meant for curvy girls
I'll preface this by saying that I think jbrand does look great on other girls. I am 5'4", 28 waist, and not super curvy but definitely not straight up & down. I could barely get these jeans on, and then when I did they flattened my butt. I think the denim material is very dense, and without the stretch it is difficult to go about your day in these. However, if they flatter your figure these are great going out jeans. I love that the color and that they are so clean looking, but they did not work for me at all.

fit wasn't right
I really wanted to like this dress--it looks so pretty on the model. It's very sheer even with the attached underslip. The hem is more of a bubble hem than the picture shows. It may fit better on a taller, less curvy person though. For reference I am 5'4", 32d, 28waist.

great dress, but zipper issues
Overall I love this dress. It's a very thick ponte knit, good for the fall/winter. Seaming & pockets give it style so it's not just another black dress. The only con is that the zipper doesn't lay flat, sometimes it bumps up in the lower back area, which is not very attractive. But this wasn't enough to send it back (this seems to be an issue with most zipper dresses, not specifically A.Wang), I just remember to pull the hem down whenever I stand up to make sure the zipper lays flat. Lastly, an odd sizing issue: the size small seemed about 2 inches shorter in length than the size medium. For reference: I chose the size med, and I am a 32D, 28 waist. The small was just a tad too tight--I think you could see the indentation of my belly button.
