I ordered a L. and the first time I tried it on I was a little worried it wouldn't fit a slip underneath, to my surprise the material was thick and no slip needed. Here's my problem with the dress.. It fits tight at the knee area and allows minimal walking. After wearing it for a bit when I'd stand up there were knee imprints on the dress. The dress is heavy.. If I were to hang it up on a hanger it would without a doubt stretch the dress because of the weight. While wearing this dress it snagged on so many things!! Ex. My wedding ring and the material is just ruined now :( I wore this on 12/12/12 at 12 and it's really a beautiful dress but had I known these things.. I would've been more careful.. Something to think about.
