Miracle shoes
I read the Jenni Kaynes were killer on the heels, so I was thrilled when I went with the cheaper Vince version and they literally feel like walking around in a tub of soft butter. Zero break-in time and super cute. I've had them for a year now and they're my go-to black flats. My only gripe is I can tell they'll need to be re-soled soon; the soles are super, duper flat. I guess this was inevitable though. It just stinks to consider that added expense when you've already payed nearly $300 for a pair of shoes.

Long-torso, no dice
I love the look of this suit so much. I sure wish it fit me. I thought with the adjustable lace-up back, I should be fine despite my freakishly long torso, but it just didn't work out at all. The leg openings are also cut to clench your cheeks at an unflattering height. I am a 4 and ordered the small - was going to return it for a medium, but it was unavailable so I got some amazing sandals instead...clearly I'm an unfocused shopper :)

Smitten
Woo-hoo! I took a major leap of faith buying $250 sandals! I was sure they were going to hurt and I was going to regret it big time. But they felt great right out of the box and I've been wearing them for two weeks now blister-free. They run narrow - I read this all over the web - so if you have extra wide feet, you might find them really uncomfortable. My feet are usually a medium, though, and although they were snug at first, the exceptional leather stretched out to perfectly fit me like a glove after one day of wear. I got the 39 and they're more like an 8 (French sizing runs small) - so if you're closer to a 9, definitely go with a 40. So happy I bought these! Going to have the soles reinforced for years of wear in these classic sandals.

Brilliant
I love these. I get so many compliments on them. And weird looks, but that's cool too. My only fear is that they're going to break: bronze is a very soft metal and the posts seem like they'll snap off eventually. Therefore, I only take them out for "special" days.

Bummer
Alas, returning these. I had high hopes but they are just really uncomfortable. Very stiff canvas, little to no cushion in the sole, and they cut into my heels instantly when I took three steps across my living room. And I know by now, having learned my lesson the hard way, that no amount of breaking-in time would have made a difference. If the shoe feels like a vice grip when you put it on, it's usually a sign it's going to hurt your feet. Bad. I am usually an 8.5 but can sometimes do with a 9 - I ordered these in an 8.5 under the logic that canvas tends to stretch. In this brand, an 8.5 definitely fits much more like an 8. They get one star for looks. It amazes me how so many shoe designers could easily make comfortable shoes but don't!
