First of all, I contacted Three Dots to ask if this dress is lined and they said it is. It isn't and it is see-through and I saw my nude thong clearly. The white band is super-see through and hit almost at crotch-level. ??? I'm 5'9", 12-14, 36DD for reference. The fabric was soft, and it touches the ground. The top around the neckline and shoulders was a bit loose, and the waist and hips a bit tight. I'm sending it back without a second try-on because it just magnified every lump and bump. If you still want to buy this dress, sizing seems a little large, as I bought a large and normally need an XL in most clothes. I think it would be lovely on somone who doesn't mind the world seeing what's under their dress ;)

Based on shopbop's size guide, I should have ordered this in 3X (way to make people feel obese, Shopop), but I ordered the largest size available, large, and it fits perfectly. I'm a 12-14, 36DD, 5'9" and curvy. My first day wearing it, there was no stretching out, and it kept its shape on the second wear as a beach cover-up. Very impressed. I didn't notice any shrinkage when washed, and it sits just a touch above the ground. I wish it were lined, and that's why I didn't give it 5 stars. Three Dots lines some of their items in identical fabric, and that makes the jersey glide over lumps and bumps, which I have. So, this does cling to every lump and bump, and while I found that to be fine for my Mexican vacation, I wouldn't wear it in Toronto without a jean jacket or something. I also have to go a little heavier on the accessories to avoid it looking like a nightgown. All in all, I highly recommend this dress. Oh, and it covers my bra straps. Yay!!!
