Beautiful dress and flattering fit
The name of this dress "cover up" is deceiving and doesn't accurately describe this dress. The price tag however is on par with what you get. I like maxi dresses because they are easy and comfortable but I've never thought one was flattering. This dress is different. Although the material is rayon it feels like expensive high-quality fabric. The fit is more like a gown then a maxi dress. It hugs you in all the right places instead of hanging like a maxi dress would. There is a lining that is heavier to the knee and therefore a slip is not needed. The length of the S was also surprisingly shorter than I expected. I'm 5'3" and I can easily wear this with heels - no alteration needed. I love everything about this dress. One warning, it runs small. I usually wear an XS and still have plenty of room but I got the S in this and it fits just right. If I ate a cheeseburger though, it would show.

Soft and cozy
As one of the previous reviewers pointed out, this shirt does run slim (as it says in the description). I normally wear an XS in most designers but the small fit perfectly. The material is really soft and although the sleeves are long for my petite 5'3" frame, it looks fine with the thumb hole. If you look at the way the shirt fits (e.g., length, size) on the model it's the same way it fits me even though I'm significantly shorter. Overall great, versatile, comfortable piece. It's great for layering although you can't count on it for warmth in very cold weather as it is lightweight.

Sloppy fit and for larger chest
I knew this was a risky purchase and unfortunately it didn't work out. The material and the fit are sloppy. The material is too thin for the shirt to have any structure. It also looks very cheap, which I didn't expect for $88. The neckline is also unflattering and the width of of the shirt makes you look wider. The shirt also won't work for smaller chested, thin, or petite girls. I am a 34B and typically wear an XS top and this shirt was too big and too bulky for me. The only way this shirt might work is as a cover-up for a bikini (although it doesn't cover much); it just doesn't have the weight and structure to be worn as a shirt.

Amazing and fun style
This shirt is great. The fact that the back, front, and sleeves are all made of different materials and designs makes for a fun and visually appealing shirt. I normally order an XS in shirts but shopbop said the model was wearing a S so I decided to buy that size. That was a smart decision because the S fits perfectly.

Great dress w/tight sleeves
Although one of the other reviewers pointed out that the sleeves were abnormally tight I went ahead and ordered an XS anyway. My mistake. I normally wear an XS and the dress fits perfectly through the body but the sleeves are so tight it's hard to get them past my elbows. The weight of the dress, length, and dip in the back are all perfect for my 5'3" frame. The color is a perfect deep black and the shape is nice as well. Although it's not fitted it's not like a potato sack. Works well and would be great with wedges, boots, or heels. The dress deserves 4 stars but the width of the sleeves is disappointing so I gave it 3.

Stunning and unique
This piece is TTS if you are used to Free People, which can run a bit large. The skirt is see through in the panels between the ruffles but in the gray you can't actually see anything. I am 5'3" and with 6" heels the skirt barely sweeps the floor. This is a hard piece to tailor as it does have a train in the back but there are strings on the inside of the skirt that will enable you to tie the train up so it bustles in the back and won't drag behind you. Also, with the strings it DOES NOT have to be tailored if you don't like the train. I wore this skirt with a fitted Guess t-shirt that has embellished shoulders. I tucked the t-shirt in and wore it with the train tied up at first and then I figured I would let the train loose and it was totally worth it. The skirt is beautiful but the train makes the skirt stunning. I was stopped by men and women to tell me how much they loved the skirt. I even had people yelling at me from across parking lots to ask where I got it. Great piece!

Comfy and stylish
First I want to start by saying I love this dress! It's very detailed and beautiful, the fabric is more cream than white, not too thin, and definitely not see-through. I am significantly shorter than the model in the pic (6-7") and the length is about the same on me. I got an XS and the pic is a S. I buy FP on occasion and from what I've noticed FP runs really big. This dress, I think, runs smaller than standard FP clothing. I'm 5'3" and a size 2 and the XS fit perfect. The neck fits a little snug for my taste. It's not tight but I can feel the fabric around my neck, which may bother me over time. Note...I don't wear turtlenecks/mock turtlenecks because I can't stand having something around my neck. Also, the length of the sleeves fit me perfect so if you're tall they will probably be too short for you. Finally, the lining is built into the dress which makes it really easy to get on and off which is nice. All in all it's a great little dress.

Great summer piece
This dress is a great find. I love maxi dresses in the summer but I'm only 5'3" so I have a hard time finding one I don't have to hem. I bough the small and the length and fit were both perfect. The elastic along the bust keeps the dress secure but isn't too tight and doesn't cause a squishing effect that you see in a lot of strapless maxi dresses. The print is nice and being that I'm a 34B the dress provides enough coverage in the front to not be considered inappropriate.

Thick material..doesn't feel like jersey
I have been trying to find a white shift dress for the summer and this is my second strikeout after the Tibi Ponte Shift Dress. After comparing both the Tibi dress is better, which makes sense since it cost more. This dress didn't fit me well at all. It was too large in some places and too small in others. Also the fabric does not feel like jersey (Pencey Standard tshirt style) it feels more like a thick polyester with no movement and it's very stiff like the Tibi dress. Also, the sleeves have a built in cuff, which is not flattering in person. Being that I'm 5'3" it hit me a few inches above my wrist and just looked strange. Unfortunatelly this is going back.

Versatile piece
I think this is a great staple for my wardrobe. The shape and simplicity of design enable you to play with the look (e.g, scarf, belt, sandals, heels, etc.). The fabric is a little thicker than I had hoped but it's still workable. The length is definitely above the knee although not quite as short as shown on the model as I'm only 5'3" tall. I have two cons which are the reason why I am rating this dress as average. It is rather roomy up top, which I'm used to since I wear a 34B but when I lift my arms the whole dress moves up because of the slight stiffness of the fabric. The second con, which I really hate, is that the sleeves come in at the wrist using elastic; I couldn't tell that from the model. Still deciding if I'm going to keep it. I wanted a white shift dress but $385 is a lot of money to pay for something that is just average.
