As dawn goes down to day, Nothing gold can stay -- Robert Frost (1923) These are lovely clips (though I have thick wavy hair and they still slip). The problem is they tarnish. After a week of wear they look awful, how dirty brass does. And also, the gold rubs off to reveal the silver metal. When light glances off it the clips, you can actually see fingerprints and the turning/rubbing. If you want to wear them once or twice for an occasion, I recommend them because they're pretty cheap. But don't count on them sticking around long enough to be a favorite accessory.

I'm a size 27 in jeans. I checked with Shopbop's customer service for advice on whether I should opt for a 34/2 or a 36/4 (to get that perfectly fitted look). They recommended the 36, and while they're ever so slightly big on me, they look great. The quality seems excellent. These pants are, however, less red wine than I expected -- not so rich/saturated in color as depicted, a shade more dusty. Still, lovely.
