Gorgeous Print, Versatile Dress!
This is my first purchase from Thakoon Additions. (Yes, this is not from the Carbon Copy range - it's from "+hakoon".) I loved the batik print in black and white that somehow says ethnic and yet modern at the same time. The draping is subtle and the dress fits comfortably - not too body-con and not too tent-like. It's easy to dress up or down in this. As the bottom is more fitted, you can even hitch it up to wear as a tunic-tee with jeans or leggings. Thankfully, unlike so many things out in the market now, it's NOT sheer! I only gave it an average rating because for something almost $300, the fabric was a HUGE disappointment. It was thin, flimsy and cheap, and I doubt it will survive many washes. This is the sort of viscose material you find commonly at, say, TopShop. I love TopShop, but then stuff there rarely costs this much! Not sure if I will buy again, but I am keeping this one just because I like the print.

Very Whimsical Ring
This is as cute as it looks on the pictures! I love how the mouse wraps it's tail round my finger and seems to be balancing there. It is a little heavy, so be prepared for some weight on your hands! I ordered the M/L size and it was too big. I'm usually a size 7 for ring size, so I was surprised it was that large. It is NOT adjustable in any way, so becareful with the size!!! I've taken to wearing it on my thumb, which isn't what I normally do, but in this case the whimsical design makes it OK!

Perfection!
J Brand's high rise skinnies can't get any more perfect than this! Holds everything in, hides bumps, lengthens legs and are sooooo comfortable. This is my 4th pair and I LOVE them!

Some sort of design flaw?
The denim is a lovely weight and a gorgeous wash and the cut looks very promising. Somehow when worn (by a normal person), these jeans just don't fit well. The high waist pinches rather than holds. The crotch area looks like a cross between camel toe and stuffed turkey. The inseam is also super-long, so petites like me will have to deal with alterations. I do love the look of the logo on the back pocket, but it isn't enough for me to buy MiH ever again.

Comfortable & Chic Dress
At 70% off, this dress is well worth buying. Blah color aside (you can always re-color it), the cut is forgiving and chic. However the draping and volume may be a little overwhelming for some. No matter, as you can simply belt it up to pull everything in. The braided neckline is eye-catching and unique. But as I'm only 1.6m tall, it was cut rather low on me. I pulled the strings tighter to close the neckline and it seems to work. My only gripe is that the hem is very narrow. Yes, this is a billowy dress by most standards, but 100% rayon is not terribly stretchy. Even getting into my SUV was a delicate affair as I was afraid of ripping the hem. Still, this dress has a lovely grecian, laid-back feel to it. I'd team it with heels for dinner and sandals to the beach. ^_^ Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

Super-Comfy Cashmere-like Denim PERFECT!
Before I ordered this, I followed advice from other reviewers to size at least 1 or 2 down and I did. So when I plucked this out from its packaging today and I saw the tiny tiny waist, I was sure I would have to send it back! What a SURPRISE I was in for when I pulled it on. This is the softest, stretchiest pair of denims I have ever worn!! But by far the most amazing thing is - it looks like ordinary denim material to the eye! (Not like one of those super-stretchy but cheap elastic-type jeans from Chinatown) And oh what a perfectly vintage wash this "forever blue" hue is! It looks like something my mom might have left me from the 70's! These are SO comfortable I could probably sleep in them! Only problem is that the inseam is super-long so unless you're 2m tall, you'll need to hem these.

Polished Summer Sandal, But Not Comfy
I like these sandals for how spartan and simple they are. They are very well-made and absolutely true-to-size for me. I got these in tan and the color is perfect. The sole is non-slip so you won't have to worry about slipping at the pool or in the mall. My only grouse is that for something so flat and so clean in design, it really isn't very comfortable. I think it has to do with the fairly thin rubbery soles. I wore them today and as I was walking I could actually feel the strap end that was tucked under the bed of the right sandal. (Think Princess and the Pea) It drove me crazy and I had to take them off. The sandals are really beautiful, but I can't walk in them!

Great Basic
This sweater is very comfortable and soft, and the textured detail is interesting. However it is HUGE! Size down!

Unexpected! A Grown-up Friendship Band!
This is a friendship band by any other name. But oh, what a gorgeous, grown up and refined friendship band it is! The craftsmanship is very fine. The bead quality is excellent. The juxtaposition of colors, and textures - matte, translucent and metallic - is perfection. The way the beads catch the light is similar to how reflectors on a safety vest bounce the light and catch your eye. So so so gorgeous! The only problem, I feel, is the very grown up price!

Disappointment of a Dress
Encouraged by earlier reviews, I ordered this Tucker dress. Unfortunately, I will be returning this and wasting postage from 9303 miles away. First, it was too short and too narrow at the hem. On the model, it hits a little higher than mid-thigh, so I assumed that on me, it would be more like "above-the-knee". When I tried it on, it was so short that it felt like a tunic. And the hem area was so narrow that it was hard to slip it on and I could hardly walk without hitching it up. Second of all, the cut was just not as flattering as I imagined it would be. The balloon-blouse style turtleneck top looks great on the model. But if you are not stick-thin or if you are busty (like I am), that's what you will look like - a balloon. Lastly, I felt that the quality of the dress was less than desirable. The shirring looked cheap to me and there were loose threads with poor finishing. I really do expect more for a dress that costs $286, Is it worth its sale-price? TUCKer NO,
