When I finally conceded to myself that my trusty Ted Baker winter coat had seen its last season, I begrudgingly set out to find a worthy replacement and was delighted to come across Mackage's Kendra coat. I fell in love with its beautiful construction, timeless lines and leather detailing which adds just enough edge. The collar looks fantastic popped, and the pockets zip--key for securing cell phones and apartment keys on late-night excursions. The fit is very true-to-size; I'm a size two and purchased this in a size small, which allows extra room for sweaters or even a blazer underneath while still looking perfectly tailored. It hits a bit lower on me than it does on the model (I'm 5'6"), which I like (warmth!). Other perks: the anticipation of donning my foxy new coat makes the arrival of winter in the Windy City so much more bearable.
