but definitely, definitely, size up a whole size at LEAST, especially if u have wide feet. I'm usually a 9.5, sized up to 40 for the Newbury. For these i had to size up to 41!! and they were TIGHT! my friend who's an 8.5 could 'just' fit in them. Now that they've stretched out they're fine without socks, but with socks they're still a squeeze. But, like the newbury, these are fantastic.

I'm a Frye boot addict & a connoisseur of well made footwear, my difficult feet say so. I envy girls who can buy shoes just because they're pretty, as i will never be able to do that. These boots were a bit of a stretch even for my budget, so i mmd and aahd about it for awhile, finally decided to take the plunge after reading countless great reviews. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! i can't believe how comfy they r! not just comfy for heels, just comfy. period. I bought the dark browns, they r a deep brown, almost black. It has the most amazing padded footbed, & the heel height/platform ratio is perfect. Not too thin that u feel the pavement & not too thick that they feel clumsy. They fit a bit small, so if ur in between sizes, size up. i'm usually a 9/9.5, and the 40 is perfect. *One thing though, i would recommend getting it resoled with a rubber sole at the cobbler since it has a leather sole, then they'll last forever. Only been a couple of weeks & i want the black ones too!
