Tibi
Teja Print Easy Top
HUGE
This top is huge. I looked like I was drowning in it, even with it tucked into high-waisted shorts. The neckline is super flattering though, so if you can go down a couple sizes, I would still recommend it. However, the blush detailing is a little awkward, I think, unless you figure out how to tie it together with a little bit of blush somewhere else in your outfit, like blush sandals or something. The silk is a bit shiny, delicate feeling for Tibi, making this top look a little dressier than I expected. Still though, it might look good worn out with some skinny jeans (blush j-brands possibly), if you have a straighter figure, which I don't.

Tibi
Paisley Ruffle Shorts
So flattering!
I originally ordered these in tulip from Tibi, but I loved them so much that I got the blue as well when they went on sale on Shopbop. So far, I've been wearing them with a white silk tee from Tibi, or a Tory Burch voile button down. They'd also look great with a white CDC tank, but I can never get my hands on those in 0. They could potentially go with all different blues, whites, neutrals, even a green color to match the green in the shorts - tons of possibilities. To me, these are a much cuter, more comfortable alternative to a mini skirt. These are super flattering but they do fit a bit large in the waist. I just wear them lower waisted and they still look cute, but if you can go down a size, I strongly recommend it if you want them to fit like they do on the model. I just measured, and the waist on the 0 is 13.5 lying flat, so 27 inches around.

3.1 Phillip Lim
Gathered Waist Shirtdress
boring
This dress really just didn't do anything for me. Usually, the only way I can do monochromatic is if the fit of the dress is just really interesting or flattering. On me, this was neither. Personally found it to be a little tight in the bust and large in the waist. I personally ordered the dress, assuming it would be "waist-defining," but it wasn't. The elastic just hangs there, and the ties serve no actually function, so you can't actually tighten the dress, as I had hoped. If this dress had had some awesome crazy print on it, I might have kept it anyway, despite a mediocre fit. But it doesn't. It's just white, and hanging loose like a smock, it looks pretty boring.

Tibi
Easy Top
MUCH cuter in real life
The fit of this top is really cute, though I actually can't wear this "rust" color. I personally think it looks best tucked into high-waisted shorts or skirts. For example, it looks far better tucked in to the istanbul shorts, rather than worn out like a paper bag as shown. Worn tucked into the high-waisted shorts, the high neck and wide shoulders really balance out and complement the cut of the shorts, creating an hourglass shape. It actually looks even more flattering than wearing the Tibi cami with the shorts, at least if you want to accentuate your waist.

Milly
Eva Dress
So disappointed
I was so excited to order this dress because I think the style and print are gorgeous. However, it just did not fit me right at all. I thought this was odd, because I have a Milly dress of a very similar style from a few years back that fits just fine. This one seemed to be cut very straight, and large in the waist, almost as if a pregnant lady wore it and stretched it out. I tried belting it but there was just too much extra fabric. Meanwhile, it was still fitted through the hips. It also just seemed like the 0 either was cut for someone short (like 5'4") or to be worn lower on the shoulders. On the runway, the model is wearing it off-the-shoulder, lowering the dimensions of the dress proportionately. I found that while the dress fit better this way, it seemed to large in the bust and shoulders to stay up. I really think it is meant to be worn with the elastic off the shoulder, the collar folded up like on the Milly site, or down like on the runway, but not as shown here, just fyi.

Rag & Bone/JEAN
Monterrey Dress
Just okay
I've been giving Rag & Bone/JEAN a try lately, and it seems I am consistently disappointed. The fabric seemed subpar and the colors, drab. This dress looked the same on me as it does on the shopbop model and can be summed up in one word: dorky (I ordered it because it actually looked cute on the Saks model). It just seemed too big and baggy, especially in the waist, so I tried belting it but then it just seemed too conservative and preppy for me (like it does on Quin in Glee). I think maybe if I was a couple inches taller, (I'm 5'8") it would have been cute, just very casual. I would definitely recommend going down a size.

sass & bide
Great Moments Chambray Shorts
Just not me
I wanted these to be a replacement for regular denim shorts, so when they didn't fit the purpose I intended I sent them back. In the end I decided this wash and fabric was too difficult to work into my wardrobe. In my opinion, the thin tencel looks best with loose fitting silky tanks and oversize tees (which I just don't wear). The only thing I could find to go with these was an old Sass and Bide black and white polka dot silk beaded cami, but the tie waist seemed like it would put the beads at risk, so I returned them. The fit is really cute though, and they are amazingly comfortable, so I'm still half tempted to reorder them and get a Joie or Isabel Marant top to match.

Rag & Bone/JEAN
Capucin' Shorts
Just okay
I personally thought the fabric on these was too thin and cheap feeling, but I've been obsessed with fabric quality since I was about five. I wear a 0-2, 25 in jeans, and these seemed too small in an XS. They were also too tight in the waist, cutting into my hip bones in an uncomfortable way. I think they would be cute with an extra inch added to the rise, or on someone shorter (I'm 5'8) or straighter. They did seem really easy to wear, especially with button downs and oxfords in a casual borrowed-from-the boys sort of way.

Tibi
Istanbul Shorts
Adorable
These are hands down my favorite piece of the season. I love them so much I'm debating getting them in another color as well. They look adorable and are ridiculously easy to wear. So far I've been wearing them with a teal cami bought from Tibi and peep toes for day, booties for concerts, and ankle cuff platforms at night. Usually I stay away from silk shorts because they are often too delicate to be practical, too thin to be flattering or too shiny to be casual, as has been my opinion of the Nanette Lepore silk shorts for example. These, however, are thick, matte, and sturdy enough to wear anywhere or do anything without fear of damaging them. They do run large however, so if you have any sort of waist whatsoever and want them to fit like they do on the model, order a size down. I'm 5'8", 110, got them in a size 0, and I have to belt them to keep them up.
