This skirt had great potential; the draping is lovely and flattering. Unfortunately, the material is very thin and stretches after a few hours of wear; the elastic at the waist was too loose to begin with. I'm a rather curvy 38 (US6), but should have gone one or maybe even two sizes down. It also looks floor-length on me (I'm 5'4). On top of that, half the dye went down the drain the first time I washed it, despite following care instructions. Considering the bright colour is half the appeal, that's quite a shame. If not for import and return fees, I would have returned it. As it is, I'm going to try shrinking and re-dyeing in order to salvage something out of this skirt.

The skirt is a nice cut and a good length, but the hem is shredded all the way around, and so are some of the seams in the back. It's not at all like on the picture, which makes it look sloppy, and while it's made of vintage denim, the description said nothing about obvious stains. If I hadn't been away when the package arrived, and so couldn't return it within delays, I would have sent it back to Shopbop. As it stands, I'm going to have it hemmed up properly and hope I can salvage something out of it. Not worth the money as it is.

I'm a busty US6-8, but I knew this dress would size a bit small as I already have it in Navy, so ordered a large and it fit perfectly. Not too bodycon, but not shapeless either. It's comfortable yet elegant, and can be styled with towering platforms as easily as plimsolls, from office to beach. High quality material, too.
