It's very true about the sizing. I normally wear 8 1/2 or 9, 39 or 40's. I got the 8's and they fit perfectly with chunky socks. I also have short legs and a generous calf circumference, but they hit just barely below the knee and feel snug, but not tight, around my calf. Really happy with these, only wish I had them earlier to use in our last storm season here!

Love these! True to size, the foldover waistband is comfy, and the quality of the fabric is nice. They were a little long on me (I'm 5'4") so are bunched down at the ankle (like the model wears them), but that's the look I prefer.
