1. There are magnetic closures for the back pocket, and the flap is not secured by anything. However, the flap itself can be opened, and that's where I store my wallet and other valuables I don't want easily accessed. 2. The main DOWNFALL of this bag is the COLOR RUBS OFF. The back pocket contains magnetic closures which cause a bulge in the leather. I've begun to notice that the color has begun to rub off from where these bulges are leaving behind the white natural lambskin. Not happy as this is a pricey bag and I would have expected better, stay-put dye! If I had known this would happen, I would not have purchased this bag. Pretty turned off to Marc right now..
