Like Wearing A Tropical Island
As far as denim goes, it doesn't get better than J Brand so the minute I came across this fun, summery pattern, I nabbed them. I've only just tried them on -- they're their usual true to size fit -- and once on, the pattern, which I already loved, was surprisingly less "busy" looking (which is, ultimately, a very good thing because the second time you wear anything "busy," people tend to start thinking "OMG! She's wearing those constantly!"). I paired these with a loose knit turquoise tank, then a blousy white tee, and finally, a spring green lightweight sweater, and each gave the jeans a different, but adorable look. And despite the numerous shades of blue in the pattern, these skinnies look terrific with any number of bright colors. These are definitely a dress-up or down style so if you add a sparkly tank and heels, you've got a Friday date night look and if you pair them with a casual tee and flat espadrilles or sandals, you're weekend casual.

So Springy!
I love YF&B dresses; as far as easy, comfy, and stylish goes, there's really no better dress than this particular style. I have several of these -- all pretty much the same body-flattering maxi cut -- so I knew what I was getting when I purchased this one. I went with my usual medium and was surprised to find that it was noticeably looser than previous ones. I'm fine with it being a tad less snug, but I could have easily sized down to a small so it's something to consider if you're going to get this dress. The several shades of pink put you in the mood for Spring. The only major drawback to this designer's maxi dresses is that they're so long, there's no avoiding the tailor. At 5'10, I would have to add five inch wedges to keep this dress from dragging the floor. Plus, I love this style with flats so it's a guarantee that I'll have to pay around $25 to get the dress altered. In the end, it's worth it because I keep these dresses for years and break them all out each new Spring.

Pretty & Springy, But Unwearable
I love the print of this skirt and the multiple colors make it a great piece to add to a Spring wardrobe as it will match so many different tops and shoes. Following the sizing guidelines, I ordered a French 40 which is the equivalent to a US 8. In theory. In reality, this skirt was so tight I couldn't even get it to begin to zip. I measured the circumference of the waist and it was 24"; that's more like a US 0 or 2. It's definitely not an 8! Moreover, the description says the material is stretch cotton. Yet there was no stretch! Even if the waist had fit, the bottom of the skirt was so tight, stiff, and unforgiving that it left impression marks on my legs (in the one minute it took me to attempt to try it on). What is going on with this piece? So disappointing that it didn't work; back it goes.

Spring Ombre
YF&B is one of my favorite easy-to-wear brands and this dress is another in a long line of gorgeous, super figure-flattering long dresses. But the length is the one reason that this got a 4/5 and not 5/5 rating. I love to wear these dresses with flats, but even if I were to wear them with typical 4" wedges (which would push me to 6'2), I'd still have to take it to the tailor for major hemming. I don't know any woman who wants an extra 4 to 8" of dress dragging around and thus, it is beyond me why these are manufactured so absurdly long. But the tailoring makes this a totally wearable dress that also travels beautifully and looks good season after season. Be aware that unlike any other such dress I've purchased from this line, I ordered my usual medium and it was definitely much looser than usual. I'd recommend sizing down.

Violet J Brands
The usual perfect fit of J Brand in such a gorgeous shade of Spring purple. It doesn't get better or more simple, yet stylish than these skinny jeans!

A Pretty Basic
A barely pink hue in a classic, basic tank from a designer who knows how to make covetable tees and tanks. There's plenty of stretch, but the tank itself holds its shape and doesn't stretch out. I tend to go with either a 2, when I want to wear it as a base layer or a 3, when I want to wear it solo. (For sizing reference, I'm 5'10, 144 lbs, C cup.)

Fabulous Enough to Buy a Second Pair!
I bought my first pair of these 7s about five months ago and have worn them countless times (as in, they are so fantastic that you wear them, wash them that night, and wear them again the next day). I purchased this second pair so I can stop the madness of washing and wearing day after day, but also because the stylish distressing have disintegrated into pretty sizable holes. Now, they look more distressed than ever so with the addition of this pair, I can choose between a minimal versus maximum distressed look. Bonus because these don't stretch out in the waist or knees, look amazing on a regular thin day and a dreaded fat day, and the denim is soft and stretchy without looking soft and stretchy. No way you can't love these jeans!

Just Adding to My Collection...
I must have been British in a former life because I am obsessed with Hunter wellies. This is my third pair this year. Living in Southern Cal, there's rarely need for wellies, but I wear them on the three days it drizzles as well as on sunny, cool days, too. They are spectacularly comfy and they look adorable with just about any casual outfit. This color is a much darker teal than the color in the photographs -- the still photos make the color appear much more spring green -- so at first I wasn't sure I would keep them, but the shade has really grown on me. Even better, the forecast is for rain the next two days and these are my go-to wet weather boots!

Big $$$, But You Get What You Pay For
Each season I'm fortunate to stumble across a dress so amazing that it becomes both my go-to piece as well as my season favorite. This is that dress. I really hesitated spending that much -- especially considering I had to go with a 4 when my usual size is a 6 -- but I got it today and when I tried it on, this dress made me feel like a total babe, but also so sophisticated, sexy, beyond pretty, and classic, yet super trendy. The cut and style is unique and the simple silver and black pattern, and the elegant, but highly wearable fabric, make this dress THE dress to have for Spring. Because it's not body-hugging, I was able to get away sizing down. My only concern are the slits that are thigh-high on both sides. I will likely take it to the tailor to have the seams closed a couple of inches, but other than that,I can't wait to wear this dress a thousand times! Silver flats, super high heels in a bright color, traditional pumps or wedges will all work beautifully. Total love!

You Won't Believe How Sexy This Skirt Is
I've been looking for a long skirt to rotate into my Spring/Summer wardrobe and when I received this one: Yowsers! I bought it because I've loved other pieces I've purchased from this line and because the color is so quintessentially Spring. It's a poppy, eye-catching shade of salmon without being exaggerated like many other bright colors defining the season, making it infinitely more wearable. The slits rise to just above mid-thigh turning what I consider to be the usual frumpiness of a long skirt into a much more figure flattering style. I like to wear the waist of most bottoms very low (I can't stand anything pressing into my tummy) so I had the skirt hemmed. Unless you're at least 6' or plan to wear 4-5" wedges, hemming will be necessary. My tailor kept it nearly floor-skimming as I plan to wear it with flats and a simple (probably silky) tank in any light shade - champagne, nude, blush -- for a casual, but surprisingly sexy look. This material does wrinkle; smooth it pre-sitting.
