Like a Bird Diving at a Shiny Object
I feel like a bird diving at a shiny object when it comes to this mini. Is it practical? No. Is it fun? Definitely. This skirt is like a spice that adds flavor to your closet. Unless you want to spend your time smoothing errant sequins, do not sit in this skirt. This could pose a problem if you have to ride in a car to get where you're going. I suggest putting it on once you arrive at your destination or find someone who will drive you while you lie flat in the backseat. This skirt makes you work, but the effect is worth it.

Think Stripes Are a Staple? Get This Tee
I love stripes and this light/dark gray striped tee is a great staple. I wore it with the Haute Hippie skull poncho and a black mini. A great layering piece. I'm sure I'll wear the heck out of it. Plus, it's so soft, holds it shape, and I'm sure that even if I decided to roll down a long hill, it would still look luxe.

Super Short
These shorts are even shorter than they appear in the picture. I'm regularly a size 6, but bought an 8 -- so I could wear them at hip level -- and even sizing up, it was a squeeze to get the zipper up. I wore them with black opaque tights, knee-high boots, and a swarthy sweater. You'll need either loose and/or chunky on top to even out the super short on bottom. Very, very cute though. A good item to mix into your Fall-turned-Winter wardrobe.

Greatness Takes the Form of a Poncho
If you're reading this review, you're already wasting time. Buy it now! The last time I bought an item I loved this much was two years ago (a gray cashmere cape from Joie). This poncho is possibly even more fantastic. It is perfect for Cali's pseudo Autumn or any climate with a temp that hovers around 70 degrees. So far, I've worn it with a mini and a pair of jeans. It was the star in both outfits. Don't be surprised if girls try to rip this off of you; it's that cute!

Great color for Fall
This nude/pink toned sweater is the perfect example of how well a typical summerish hue fits Fall weather. It's a piece that's easy to style. One caveat to its greatness: This cashmere bagged out at the elbows. This is the first time I've ever experienced cashmere doing that. I put in the dryer on delicate heat for a few minutes and it assisted the sleeves back into shape.

Only for Your Madame Tussaud Wax Twin
I couldn't wait to wear this dress; I ordered a size six which has always been the right fit for Black Halo dresses I've purchased in the past, but I don't think sizing up to a 10 would have made a difference. This dress was so tight and so short that even though it looked great when I put it on and completely froze in place, the second I dared to make even a minimal movement frontward, backward or sideways, I risked exposure on top and/or on bottom. I was disappointed because Black Halo features such a beauitful line of dresses. If you have an event where you won't be required to sit or move, and you can be wheeled in on a dolly and then stood frozen in place, this dress fits the bill.

Simple "Weekend-er" Tee
I ordered the navy striped HH tee and paired it with Citizens of Humanity indigo denim leggings and gold Jimmy Choo ballet flats. The look was effortless and most importantly, the shirt stayed looking good (i.e., held its shape, didn't bag at the elbows) throughout a very long and active day. When the weather is cooler, this will be an ideal layering piece. The "contrast color cuffs" add a unique twist. I unbuttoned the cuffs and rolled them once to turn it into a 3/4 sleeve top. Super cute.

So Comfortable!
These boots generated so many compliments. I'm a huge fan of Tory Burch footwear, but this is the first pair of the designer's boots I've ever purchased. They were deceptively comfortable and will work with a ton of Fall and Winter looks. The pebbled leather looks a lot sleeker in-person than it does in the picture.

The Epitome of Fun, Flirty Elegance
Haute Hippie adds "flirty, fun elegance" to my wardrobe. I've become a Pilates devotee, in part, in order to keep my legs in shape for HH's mini-skirts. The military green color can be mixed with most any other color and the skirt can be dressed up or down. Looks great with flat boots or super high heels, baggy cashmere boyfriend sweaters or Chelsea Flower silky blouses.

Perfect Fall "Dress"
Rag & Bone has become one of my favorite designers because the items fit most any day or evening setting. And this dress was no exception. It held it's shape throughout the day at work (I wore it with leggings and Tory Burch knee-high wedge boots) and was also the perfect look for an early dinner. Do be aware that if you're taller than 5'6", this is going to be more of a top than a dress. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs, and the bottom of the dress hit approximately five inches below my bottom (I purchased a "Large," but still expected that it wouldn't fit me as a dress due to length). That's where the black leggings became a necessity. I'm also looking forward to pairing this item with skinny jeans and flats.
