So stylish, but size DOWN!
I just got received these and wore them immediately. I have a few pairs of J Brand jeans and between their style and superb fit, they've become one of my favorite denim brands. I wish I had heeded some of the other reviewers' warnings about sizing down because these stretched within about an hour of wearing. I ordered a size 28, but should have gotten a 27. One size down should do the trick. Despite sizing, I adore them! They are lightweight with a touch of stretch, and will be a perfect transition item from mid-summer to early Autumn. I'm 5'10 and was able to pull these off with 4" wedges; all but about 1" of the shoe was covered. These jeans gave me legs for miles. Can't wait to pair them with other tops and shoes.

100% Pretty
I love minis so this is the first below-the-knee length skirt I've purchased since, well, my wedding gown, I think. This skirt falls perfectly and when paired with the turquoise top I purchased (which was part of a look in one of Shopbop's recent lookbooks), I feel like a modern Doris Day. This skirt feels "charity luncheon," but it can definitely be shuzed down with a couple of layered tanks and a pair of espadrille wedges or some flat sandals. I thought this skirt was kind of spendy, but now that I see it can be dressed up or down, it was worth it. Get it before it's gone!

Gorgeous
I bought this top as part of a look that was featured in a recent Shopbop lookbook (it was paired with the azure below-the-knee skirt that I also purchased). I love this top; it fits perfectly and looks beautiful with the skirt. I also plan on wearing it with a pair of summer bright popsicle-colored shorts (probably a melon color). It will go with a ton of stuff. So classy!

In a Word: NO!
These were the most unflattering shorts I've ever tried on. I rarely return my Shopbop purchases, but I couldn't get these in the mail quickly enough. The fold (or panel) that you see on the front of the short looks flat in the photo, but does NOT lay flat when on the human body. If you mistakeningly buy them and don't want to return, give them to your brother or boyfriend. They fit, gap, and look like they're made for the male anatomy.

A Good Start that MUST be Shaped
This Tibi jumpsuit is the exact reason why it's key to pay attention to the model's stance in a photo. She's got a hip jutted severely and as a result, this jumpsuit looks like it has more shape than it does. Still, it's a great piece to add to a Spring wardrobe. It's the palest pink and so floaty you feel like you should open your eyes wide, find a grassy hilltop, and start spinning just like Maria in "The Sound of Music." Before you start spinning and singing, find a wide belt to cinch in the waist. I chose a deep chocolate brown one with barely visible golden thread wove through and topped it off with nude peep-toe pumps. If you don't give it shape, you could look like a cleaning woman circa 1960. Styled right, it's worth the price. Go down one size unless you're super tall.

So Good, I Had to Have Two!
I bought the 3/4 sleeve version of this dress at the James Perse store in November. I'm usually a "4" in their dresses, which must be made using a pre-pubescent male fit model, but I was a "3" and a "2" would have worked, too, in this style. I was excited to see the tank version of this dress. The nude color and seamless fit works well as a stand-alone piece or as the base for a layered look. These dresses travel well and you couldn't detonate a wrinkle into the fabric. Love it!

Vince -- Love It!
I have worn this jacket every weekend since it arrived. It's so casual, yet completely chic, and it has the Anorak style (which February's Marie Claire magazine informs me is one of Spring's major trends) minus the sloppy look and feel of a true Anorak. It is lightweight, yet warm; perfect for SoCal's chilly low mid-60s Winter. A great piece to transition into Spring.

Hmmmmm....
This is as boho as it gets (and who doesn't lean into that trend every once in a while?) but if you're over 20, make sure that you can actually imagine yourself strutting around on the streets wearing this. I took it on vacation -- and it was definitely a fun accessory -- but I was around total strangers whom I would never see again. I don't think I could get away with this look at home.

Liked the Idea of It Better
This is a well-tailored jacket, but it wrinkled furiously at the elbows and it's likely best worn if you plan on not using your arms that day. It pulls if a gust of wind blows by. I wore it with a pale beige sheath dress and it was cute, but my instinct was that many, many, many people wanted to ask if I was wearing a bed jacket. It has a kind of Doris Day "Pillow Talk" vibe to it. If I wear it again -- assuming I can locate and operate an industrial strength steamer to remove the wrinkles from the elbows -- I'll dress it down with jeans. Maybe it will look less pajama and more street.

Mega-Confidence Required
(Faux) Fur vests are one of those trends that you have to really obsess about in order to buy and actually wear. Though my dog was convinced I was cheating on him with another animal -- he growled at it when it emerged from my closet and again later when I actually had it on -- the look grew on me throughout the day. This is much tamer looking in-person than it appears in the picture and it surprised me because it didn't shed (when you touch it, you'll have visions of long faux hairs in your mouth, up your nose, and in your eyes; none of which actually came to fruition). At first I felt like an extra on the set of "The Clan of the Cave Bear," but that feeling evolved and eventually, I felt adorable in it. My husband and dog would write a different review (neither were fond of it), Ibut I love it!
