Classic & Pretty, but Surprisingly Heavy
I purchased this romper to wear to a special event this weekend and the fit is superb. I ordered size 8 and the length is ideal for my 5'10 frame. The shorts are very short and the slit in the front stays separated so beware that this piece isn't as demure as the photo might suggest. Also, the material is heavier (almost "tweedy") than it looks in the photo, but that thickness does NOT carry over when on. Yea! The cutout in the back adds a touch of sexiness while still maintaining classic style. If you're buying this to wear the day it arrives partition time for steaming. I'm normally very happy with Shopbop's packing, but this is the 2nd time that an item has arrived folded to the point of absurdity, wrinkled beyond belief. Plus, the thickness of the material means it's going to take some serious time and patience to steam out the creases. It should've arrived folded once inside of a box, not folded a bajillion times to the size of an 8x10 square inside of a flimsy shipping wrapper.

Showgirl Legs
I love short shorts and these are the epitome of a great pair of short shorts. I always size up with shorts like these for three reasons: 1) I love them to ride very low on my hips; 2) I want the option of having enough room to tuck-in a blousy button-down; and 3) I never want to be that woman whose shorts are so short that her bottom is exposed. Sizing up always achieves this for me. I'm normally a 6 or 8 in ALC pants/shorts, but I ordered a 10 and they hit just where I wanted them to. If you want them to be fitted at your waist, order true to size. These are definitely dressier shorts given they're silk, but they can easily be dressed down by adding flat sandals and a more casual top. The very fact that they can be styled up for fancy time or down for a day of doing whatever is a major highlight of this brand & a prime reason why ALC is one of my favorite go-to designers. You can wear any ALC piece in so many different ways which makes the expense of the line much more justifiable.

Not "Jeans" -- Twill Pants
Perhaps wrongly, I associate "jeans" with some variation of denim and these are most definitely not denim. They're cotton twill pants. Still, I LOVE the fit and the look. These are incredibly sexy and the black panels (which don't look as black in-person as they do in the still photo) definitely give the impression of leather panels and details. I can't speak for anyone other than myself -- I'm 5'10, 144 lbs (and I wear a size 27-28 in almost all J-Brand styles) -- but the fit on most every J-Brand style is incomparable. Over the last couple of years, I've pretty much stopped buying anything other because I don't think there's a better fitting brand on me. The only reason I gave these four instead of five stars was because I was expecting a true jean, but I'm still loving these regardless of the material. And you can handwash them cold instead of dry cleaning. I love having that option!

Love the Color
I love the bright mint color of this sweater. It's a LOT thicker than I anticipated it would be, but the color still makes it a perfect transition piece into Spring. I don't know how wearable this will be during the summer and given the price point, I would have liked it less bulky so that it would transgress the boundaries of the next couple of seasons. The color is so fun and the fit great so I'm keeping it. The taller you are, the more cropped this sweater will be on you so do plan on wearing a tank or something else under it. And beware that whatever you put under it is going to have to be fitted and thin because the sleeves leave little room for even somethig like a simple button-down shirt. Oh, but that yummy, flattering minty color...!

Extra Blousy
Because I wanted a blousier look, I still ordered a large despite all of the reviews that suggested sizing down. The fit is great and I love the look. A white shirt is a surprisingly challenging find so I was pleased to come across this one. It's versatility as a dressier or more casual piece is terrific. I didn't give it five stars because it's lacking the super silkiness of other Equipment button-downs I own. Still, it's a fab addition to any closet. A great staple.

Top: Simply Gorgeous
This top is very delicate given its beading and super sheer, but I love the options that such sheerness offers; wear a lacey bra or silk cami which gives a subtly sexy vibe to the look that will fit a party or night out, or slip it over a nude colored tank, making it much more wearable in any number of situations. I first added pink, peep-toe heels, but the color detracted from the outfit's soft palette of colors. I ended up going with simple, nude open-toed pumps, and it was the perfect complement. You will love this outfit.

Skirt: Simply Gorgeous
I purchased the top that matches this skirt and while I normally don't want to look too matchy-matchy, this outfit is simply beautiful. This skirt floats and the soft crepe-like fabric means you don't have to worry about wrinkles. I'll also pair this with a simple tank and flip-flops. The colors are so soft and pretty. This is a great Spring and Summer outfit that will soften the very popular neons and brights that you'll likely be adding to your closet.

Versatility in Spades
I purchased this skirt in-store before realizing it was available on Shopbop, but I wanted to review it because the picture does not do it justice. This skirt is mini, but not exposing on my 5'10 frame; it's great to find a mini that works on a tall frame. The fabric and pattern look winter, but the colors align with the Spring palette. I paired it with the DVF Isaye golden beige top (available from this site) and a pair of bright orange Jimmy Choo super high sandals and got endless compliments from women, even strangers! I tried on both the large (which I would have normally ordered) and medium, and the medium hung perfectly low on the hips, just as I like it. It's one of the most workable-mixable-matchable pieces I've found in a while. I also love the Theysken's Theory sweater that it's been paired with in the video. The front pocket is a great detail. You'll have nothing but love for this skirt.

Modern With a Hint of 70s... Super Sexy!
The concept of "gold lame" might not sound appealing, but there was something so special about these slacks that I thought I would at least try them. When I slipped them on, they were like magic! The material is feather-light and the lines make your legs look endless. I ordered true to size and they sit low on my waist (right above the bikini line) so consider sizing down if you want a snugger fit that will sit higher on your waist. Despite the fact that I'll have to get them tailored -- there were at least two inches of material puddled on the floor after adding four inch heels to my 5'10 frame -- I'll be wearing these a lot. A simple tank will make them weekend worthy; a silky top will turn them cocktail, and a tailored shirt or sweater will give them a professional look. They're nowhere near as shiny as they look in the photo. Instead, they're very modern with a hint of 1970s' style. And crazy sexy.

The Spring Sweater Has Arrived!
Loose-knit, lightweight sweaters are popping-up everywhere and this one is not only the perfect color and cut, but also fits like perfection. The late afternoon sun color combines with the soft knit to create a supremely pretty Spring sweater. This is going to get a lot of wear from now through Summer. The color and texture really make it seasonless. Beware of the pull-easy nature of any loose knit, including this one. But if you're careful, it's a great piece to add to your wardrobe.
