These boots are beautiful. I've been searching for a nice pair of black flat boots for sometime and when I came across these, and at such a discount, I had to jump on them. I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews about the boot shaft being very tight, I took the leap since the problem I often have is that the shaft is too large making my calves look huge. These did fit but are very tight with jeans. I have worn them around and they are loosening up so by the fall they should be a perfect fit. Shoe size it TTS. I am usually a 9 and ordered a 9 like every other Frye boot I own, but if your calves are on the normal to wide side these won't work. You have to have very slender calves. I'm also 5'8" and the top of the boot rubbed the bottom of my knee cap but with the wear they are starting to loosen and slouch. I am happy with my purchase but I also got them at 70 percent off. I wouldn't pay full price.
