One of the Most "Mixable" Pieces Ever!
I gave this item the highest rating despite the fact that I would guess it to be about two sizes smaller than the size it's tagged as. This could be because I can't stand anything tight around my stomach so I like the waist of any item to ride low (which I then conceal with a longer top and/or layers). That being said, after a quick visit to the tailor who adjusted the button closure to fit my preference, I've already worn this skirt twice. The "oxblood" color doesn't truly go with anything so instead, it can be mixed with everything. I've worn it with a sequined tank, cardigan, and knee-high boots, as well as Jimmy Choo heels and a button-down Vince silk shirt. Because it can be mixed and matched with anything, it's well worth the money. On top of all of this, the leather quality is superb!

Peeking Out From Knee-High Boots...
... these add the final touch to most any boots with shorts or miniskirt combo.

A Good Piece, but Only if Layered
This piece could look too "Country Hayride" -- a look that doesn't work for me -- if worn solo. I added it to a Ralph Lauren camel-colored bodycon dress, a loose, white James Perse tank over that, and topped it with this shirt (which I left unbuttoned and folded to above the elbows), finishing it with a low-waist belt. Very city; not at all country. Beware the shirt wrinkles easily despite it being the thickest chambray I've ever seen. I have jeans from the same material that are twice as lightweight as this shirt.

Fall Sexy
This is a lightweight sweater that is nowhere near as boxy looking in-person as it is in the photo. The large keyhole opening down the center of the back is unexpected and just sexy enough. This will get a lot of wear from now until the start of Spring.

A Rare Return
Maison Martin Margiela features a fresh line of boots and booties. This is one of the few items I've ever returned and the reasons for returning are plenty. The two major ones include the fact that the rubber insoles on both shoes were peeling and lifting, and despite the massive opening to the bootie itself, I physically could only fit three toes toward the toe-opening -- what was I supposed to do with the other two toes? My foot width is normal and I've never encountered this problem before so it was disappointing that they were so ill-fitted. Even my Mom, who has a very narrow foot and is a full size smaller, couldn't get her foot to fit into the insole. Too bad; love the look!

Stylish, but Spendy
I bought a very similar version of these boots late last Fall -- in a lighter brown color -- and the fit is incomparable. Definitely my favorite pair of boots... even if only to look at. I wish I had known that they were prone to color transfer. No where on the box or in the box insert did it warn about color transfer. The rim of each boot became dingy within an hour after barely rubbing against my super lightweight lotion. Next, I wore them over jeans and after seeing a dark swipe of blue on one of the boots, I spent the rest of the day walking practically bowlegged in order to avoid the boots from touching the jeans. At this price, it seems like boots this spectacular should also be far more durable. Still, beyond flattering when on.

Heavy Material, but Great Fit
I don't think DVF makes any item that doesn't fit well and these are no exception. The material was much thicker and drapier than I expected, but they'll be fine for late Fall. The only drawback is that with material this heavy there's no option to style them for "now" and "later."

Sexy to Spare
I ordered up one size larger than my normal size so that these would fit below my waist. Doing so made the fit very flattering. Plus, the material does not wrinkle (I don't know what Club Monaco did to make non-wrinkling suede, but it's magical) and the length manages to be both sexy and demure. LOVE!

Magic... Conceals and Flatters
I bought the sleeveless version of this dress through another retailer before I knew that Shopbop had it. And I absolutely love it! I agree with another reviewer about the surprisingly long length (I had to have it tailored up about three inches and I'm 5'10), but the fit is magical. I've worn it a few times this summer and after working on a project that had me sitting in front of the computer for endless hours each day, not only did it look good on my normal frame back in late May, it STILL looked good with a 8 lb weight gain by late July! Even in unforgiving white, this dress conceals flaws and draws compliments.

It's a Top, not a Dress
Unless you're 5' or under, buy this as a top. I put it on and it didn't even cover my bottom. I've actually been wearing it to my Pilates class because it's so soft and easy to move around in. And looks great with yoga pants.
