Hangs Beautifully
Even at 5'10, I had to have the dress tailored to lose three inches off the bottom so I could wear it with flat sandals. The fit and pattern are both so flattering. I ordered a large, but should have gone with a medium because the dress has plenty of stretch to it. I'm thinking about getting it tailored again to add a knee-high slit to one side so that walking isn't impeded. If you're like me and tend to order items that you want to open and wear immediately to whatever event for which you purchased the item, fire up your streamer because it arrived incredibly wrinkled. I'm always happy with how carefully each item has been folded and packaged for shipping by Shopbop, but this dress had been folded into a 5x7 square; it took me 30 minutes to steam out the wrinkles. Just like the Thakoon romper I reviewed, this is a great piece to wear now (with a cacoon sweater) and later just by itself.

Wear it Now and Later
Spendy, indeed, but this is a piece that you can work multiple ways. I paired it with super opaque tights, platform pumps, and a contrasting black and white, silky Chelsea Flower top. Later, when the weather warms, it will be gorgeous with a simple tank and sandals. This romper is short (I'm 5'10 and ordered a size 8), but not over-exposing. The coolest part is the architectural structure of the top that features both a halter and straps that can be worn on or off the shoulder. The look is relaxed, but sophisticated. Perfect piece to wear now and later.

Gorgeous, Rich Color
I've already worn this sweater a couple of times and while it's a bit itchy (I have really sensitive skin so the itch factor is probably null for most) and the length is shorter than I expected, the rich color, the perfect orange-red, is one of the few brights that is a compliment to my very fair complexion. This color seems like it would work for any skin tone. It's warm and pretty. Exceptional quality.

Gorgeous Print; Supple Silk
I've never owned any item from this designer, but these pants are a hit. The material is luxurious and falls beautifully along the legline. The only drawback is that they are unusually high-waisted (I have long legs and a long torso, and these still hit about two inches above the navel); I ordered a size larger than I normally do yet they were still snug (i.e., irritatingly tight). The waist has no give whatsoever and for what you'll pay, it's probably a good idea to order at least one size, if not two sizes up, and then get them tailored. The print is beautiful -- I wore it with an emerald green Theysken's Theory buttondown blouse, but the print will match a palette of primary and neutral colors. And this is the silk that doesn't wrinkle! Bonus!

Chic and Pretty
I ordered this jacket to wear with a pair of shorts that I've never worn because the color (a soft white) has proven surprisingly difficult to match. Oh my goodness... what serendipity to discover that it not only is the perfect pairing for the shorts, but is also so pretty as the final touch to several different looks, from girly to downtown (and bonus! If zipped, it's gorgeous as a stand-alone top). The soft cream of the faux fur contrasted with the nude leather trim combine to make for one of the loveliest, albeit unexpected outerwear items I've ever owned, let alone seen. This is one of those items that looks one hundred times better in-person and when you've got it on than it does in the photo (the dark colors it's styled with in the photo act to really skew the true beauty of this jacket, in my opinion). Sexy, soft, and so well-tailored; a great mixable piece!

Sheds More than a Persian Cat
I ordered this sweater in white and it is so soft and pretty; feminine and classic, no doubt. However, there are some major issues to be aware of: First, as "hairy" as this sweater looks in-person (much more so than it looks in the photo) it does not even begin to reflect just how hairy, once you put it on, it actually is. This sweater shedded unlike anything I've ever seen. My dark wash denim jeans looks like the legs of an alpaca. The black interior of my car looked like a cattery. My husband and I were picking long, white hairs out of our mouth, eyes, nasal cavities. What a mess! Second, I ordered a large expecting it to be loose and floaty; instead I got snug and structured. I've never been disappointed with anything by Milly because the quality is superb and the fabrics are supple. However, this was beyond ridiculous. I'll definitely wear it again, but it's got to be paired with cream or white to avoid looking like you're the crazy cat lady without a lint-roller.

Magic Mini
I love miniskirts and this is one of the best because it not only has a supreme fit -- do be prepared for it to be super short -- but also is cost-efficient. It wears well, looks much more expensive than it actually is, and can be paired with a zillion options. The only drawback is that it can ride up, getting shorter and shorter and shorter.... Position it very low on your hips to ensure it stays put and you'll be happy with its fit from the get-go.

Adore Squared!
Same goes for this pair of J. Brands as I described in the review below. I love that the "no white after Labor Day" rule is now outdated because white is every bit as perennial as black. These pants feel nothing like denim and I was initially worried that they would not hold their shape, but they stayed shapely throughout the day. They're a "get!"

Adore!
As I've established in other reviews, I love J Brand denim and these pants -- which have a very similar cut and fit to the denim leggings -- have only broadened my scope of appreciation for this brand. I ordered them in the dark mustard color, tucked them into flat boots, and then went about a super busy day. These never sagged, bagged or lost their shape. Plus, they're incredibly lightweight, but without being "summery." Adore.

Have Them in (almost) EVERY Color...
... I love these over-the-knee socks that can be pulled up to mid-thigh or scrunched down to mid-calf so much that I've bought them in every color. I washed the heck out of them (in cold water) last Fall and Winter and they wore pretty well, but they turned out to be such a staple that I stocked up on them for this Fall and Winter, too; most recently, I've purchased a couple of pairs of black, cream, brown, and hunter green (which, to my surprise, works just as well as any neutral). Getting them in almost every color possible (the only color I've skipped is the hot pink) speaks for itself. I'm obsessed!
