Blow-You-Away Flattering
I wanted a super bright piece to add to my early Spring wardrobe and this skirt fit the bill. I've never bought from this line so I was relieved to find out that it runs true to size. Don't be off-put when you first unfold the skirt and see that the last few inches above the hem on the back has some seemingly strange ruching. It looks totally out-of-place and I have no idea how exactly it works, but wow! It turned an otherwise grand fit into nothing short of fabulous. It looks so good on it will make you want to walk backward into a room because of how it shapes the backside. And the midnight-colored waistband makes the skirt more versatile than if it had been one endless shot of hot pink. This skirt praises your body!

Complimentary Clementine
I love the clementine color of this blouse; just looking at it makes the day seem warmer. I'm honey blonde with a very fair complexion and shades of orange aren't usually my "go-to" palette, but this hue is so complimentary. I'm normally a 6 or 8 in DVF tops, but ordered a 10 because it looked short-waisted on the model in the photo. And as it turned out sizing up perfected the length and it also made it more "blousy" and flattering. This color looks great with the sporty brights that are staples for the coming Spring and Summer seasons, and neutrals like beige and white. The front half-zipper is a modern addition that ALC has featured on a couple of their tops and it looks great on this piece. The material is soft, but not wrinkle-prone; yea! As of now I've only tried it on, but I'm looking forward to styling it in a multitude of ways.

Resort Ready
Fits like a glove! I love mini-dresses, but always worry about the "scooch-up" that can happen as you move. No scooching with this dress. Love the pops of purple contrasted with the very, very light gray (this dress looks a lot whiter in the picture than it does in-person). I thought the mesh might be snag-prone, but the material is a lot sturdier than the term "mesh" suggests. Just wish the zipper was hidden; I'm more than ready to see the exposed zipper fad fade away.

That Certain Something
These jeans definitely have that certain "something." I bought them at a local boutique after reading the conflicting reviews on this site. I tried my usual, plus a size up and a size down, and ended up going with my regular (28). The reviews are ALL true: These are just deconstructed enough (the minimal shredding, rips, and holes hit all the right places) and they are perfect for those of us who are tall, but also correct is that the waist doesn't have the standard stretch that Joe's typically features and because the denim is so incredibly soft, these definitely bag out a bit in the seat (but not overly so). If you want to minimize the potential of stretch-out, order a size down and get the waist tailored; if you can't stand a tight fit around the waist (like me), order true to size and get the seat tailored. I just returned from Miami and 1980s-esque shredded jeans were everywhere. I can't wait to add a pair of those to my closet, but these are a crazy good start.

Ethereal
These culottes with layers of the sheerest cotton that are the perfect (non-stark) white, drape and move beautifully. At 5'10 with four inches of heels, the hems were still nearly grazing the floor.

Sheer Perfection
Sheer pants are my favorite new look and after splurging on a similar pair of Theysken's Theory pants (that were nearly twice as much and the only difference between those and this new pair was a second layer of material and a slightly gauzier fabric), I knew I wanted these. I wore them out and about all day and later, switched tops to take them to a more evening look. They are so comfortable, wrinkle-resistant, and unexpectedly slimming. Super flattering. The pattern goes well with a breadth of colors. If you're going to add sheer pants to your wardrobe invest in these or another pair from this brand.

Lovely
I got this same style in the cream and red pattern and I love the fit. I ordered a medium (the large was already sold-out), but it was perfect. It's long enough to leave untucked over a pair of jeans and silky enough to be up-styled with suiting or dressy wide-leg pants. I gave it four instead of five stars because if left buttoned, the 3/4 sleeve is like a tourniquet. Unbuttoned, the sleeve hangs well or you can do a casual above-elbow push-up.

Crazy Flattering
I ordered the lighter Bette over the summer so when I saw them in the darker rinse it wasn't even a question. These make me look 10 pounds thinner. They are magic! When I ordered my first pair, I didn't heed the warnings of the other reviewers who said to size down because these are not only larger than expected, but also stretch. With this pair, I ordered one size smaller and after wearing them for a few hours, I wondered if I should have gone two sizes down. Regardless, I'll wear them a ton.

Stripe Love
This is the first of many striped tops I'll go crazy for as Fall clothes give way to cruise-wear and the first hint of Spring fashion. One of the main reasons I love ALC is its fit, but even ordering a large, this top was almost cropped on me. Ideal for petite girls, but if you're tall plan on either layering it or tucking it into high-waisted pants. Still, the navy and white contrasting stripes and soft fabric are undeniably alluring.

Soft... So Feminine
This sweater was sold out at my favorite boutique so I was excited to be able to get it here. From the moment I put it on, it's no wonder it had already sold out elsewhere; this sweater is so soft, flattering, and the open back is seductive without being overtly sexy. I adore all things ALC because of the quality, materials, and fit. The sweater is navy and white, but the navy is dark enough to be able to pair with black. I ordered it to wear with the new Rag and Bone white chiffon maxi culottes, but since those hadn't arrived yet, I ended up pairing the sweater with fitted jeans and knee-high boots. Love!
