Loved the look and fabric of this dress. In reading prior reviews, it said true to size but I am normally a size 2-4 (35-27-34) and the small was very snug, even with my narrow shoulders. Considered ordering the medium but decided it was cute but not awesome. Wanted a body conscious fit but didn't want to feel like a sausage.

I had never worn Torn before and ordered the dress in a small since these were listed as "body conscious". Although I am normally a 2-4, the small was still incredibly snug and not sure if a medium would work instead. For Shopbop reviewers....please give more info as to how clothing fits, your measurements, etc. as this is much more helpful than "sexy and boyfriend loved it", although that is good to know as well.

Loved the styling, colors, everything about the dress but the fit. Although I am a size 2-4 in most designer dresses, the comment that it ran small made me order the medium. Unfortunately, even that was too small to zip up and seemed to compare to an XS (my waist is about 27-28 inches). Wanted sexy, not sausage snug.

Based on other reviews, I decided to order the grey Lanston maxi (most of the reviews are for the black). Although it fit me well in body and length (XS, 34 bust/34 hips and 5'3" height)....it just seemed too comfortable versus fashionable. The fabric is a soft knit so not sure why they refer to it as terry. Maybe the right accessorizing would bring it up to snuff or the black would look better, but I sent it back.

Thought this would be a perfect casual/work dress and it fit well/true to size (I am size 2-4 and wear a small in Juicy). The fabric was heavier than anticipated but nice for the various seasons. Unfortunately, the waist fell somewhere between a normal waistline and an empire waistline which was not very flattering....I am longer waisted. This is going back!

Although I loved the color combo and styling of this dress, the top was too large while the hip area fit comfortably. I am normally a size 2-4 and purchased the small. I considered exchanging for the XS but worried that it would be too tight in the waist or hips for me (34 inch) so I am just returning.

I ordered both the small and XS in this dress and found the XS to be a better fit (I am normally a size 2-4, bust 36). But the top is very oversized and the fit just seemed to be off. I was hoping to find a casual dress but this was just average -- not worth the cost of Ella Moss.

Purchased this dress looking for a style that would stay in fashion and be great for travel. My build is more straight (34 hips, 34 bust...wear a 2 or 4) and the small olive tone fit fine. However, there was nothing special or figure flattering that made we want to keep this dress. Maybe a more curvaceous figure would do it justice.

I normally wear a size 2-4 in a dress (bust 34, hips 34) and first ordered the XS and small. Although I possibly could have worn the small, the wrap portion felt snug and somewhat limiting for movement. Also, the straps would have needed alternations but the length was great....a few inches above knee (I am 5'4"). So I tried the medium next and that was just larger all over. Just couldn't find a great fit so I am returning.

I can't wait to wear this for fall & winter. The styling is feminine and the fabric is soft...but love the colors versus every sweater dress being black or grey. Will look good with boots, leggings, etc and I can also see this with a suede nude pump. I feel sizing is true, I am 5'3" and 114 lbs. (petite build) and the XS fits perfectly. The subtle rouching defines the bottom half while the top has a blousier feel.
