Wrap Me Up
This is another versatile sweater-coat that can transition from inside to out- and the soft gray color goes with almost anything. It's a nice alternative to a black cardigan, and I can assure you everyone will want to be wearing it when they see you all wrapped up in it.

Hold That Henley
I have a few beloved C & C California shirts, but this was not one of them. The length on this henley was oddly long, and the fit seemed baggy where it should be snug- returned it.

Love in Wool
I've worn this sweater (in the ivory color) almost every day since I received it. It's long enough to pass as a coat on a cool day, or to slip under a jacket on a colder one and wear inside as cardigan. The asymmetrical collar, the oversize snap buttons, the pockets- I'm warning you, this one is almost impossible to take off.

Hello, Hepburn
These tailored wool pants have that classic Audrey Hepburn feel- and look amazing with heels. The fabric is a bit rough to the touch but the pants are warm, and the seams have unusual (but subtle) detailing. I was a little wary of the fit at first as the hips/waist are a bit looser than most current cropped pants, but there is something refreshing in this old-fashioned cut. These pants are a keeper.

No Thought Required
This loose, light-cotton dress is what to grab when you can't possibly consider what to wear- or if you have no idea where the day will take you. The graphic print and subtle lace shoulder detail will distract anyone from noticing you just rolled out of bed- and at the end of the day, it can go straight in the washing machine. So easy, so wearable.

Bag, Found
Bags are tough for me. They're now often too big, too flashy, too heavy, too expensive- more a status symbol than something you can actually use to carry around your things. This one turns its nose up at the trends: it can fit your wallet, books, laptop, sweater, and still have room for lunch. The military styling makes it great for every day, but you could probably pull it off in the evening with something more formal- just march right on by any naysayers.

A Modern Classic
This soft knit dress is fitted around the hips and casually draped around the waist and shoulders, providing a unique, structured piece that will catch glances around the office, at the museum, or even out to dinner later that night. I've been layering it over a turtleneck or long-sleeve shirt, and adore the easy, flowing fit.

Elegance Updated
A simple dress done up in lush velvet with a stunning lace reveal in the back. The fit runs quite small (had to order up one size), but once that was straightened out, I vowed to wear this one out as many times as possible this season. It's a classic shape and cut that's elegant, refined and sexy all at once. And it's comfortable!
