Just as described!
Okay, people. The description includes the length of these and you can see how they take up half the model's head, so... there really shouldn't be any surprises when you get them in the mail. That said, these are HUGE! They're really for making a statement and not much else. My hair is thick so I don't have any problem with them staying in place but I don't expect them to do that.

Loving Elizabeth and James Eyewear!
I ordered these in the black and I (a stickler about details...) disliked that the wire temples and the metal details at the corners were different colors (silver and gold tone respectively, see the pictures for the black color) and decided to keep the Centinela frames from this brand instead. These have a nice shape and are great quality: I was also skeptical about the wire, but they felt sturdy and stayed up on my face just fine!

The ultimate cat-eye!
I love these frames! They really flatter my big, oval-shaped face nicely and I get tons of compliments on them. I think it is because the frames are slightly over-sized (but not thick) and the cat-eye shape is subtle (instead of costume-y). I've had them for a little over a year now and have had absolutely no issues with the quality...and I had to get prescription lenses put in them. With that said, one of my friends bought the same frames and was told that the plastic was too soft for prescription lenses by the guys at Lenscrafters (Um. Okay? What?) But I am proof that it can be done!

Flattering canvas sneakers? Yes!
These shoes are great, even if your feet are big! I ordered 2 sizes and ended up keeping the smaller one. I like this style of shoe (plimsolls) but generally dislike how they make my feet look really long/flat/wide. However, these are flattering (unlike the Converse and Vans I've tried) and they're comfortable. I have worn them several times a week over the past few months and wish the soles would last longer, but that's a good excuse to buy them in another color!

BUY THEM WHILE YOU CAN!
Just got these babies in the mail today. They're everything I hoped for...the design is great and, as I'm finally getting to inspect them in person, the craftsmanship is also there. I agree with the previous review about sizing; the leather will stretch. I wear between an 8.5 and a 9 in most brands and ordered these in the 9. They're a comfortable fit for my feet with the slightest bit of gaping on the sides so I'm going to size down for a more snug fit that I know will be perfect after a few wears. Can't wait to wear them!

Great Winter Go-to
I liked this top when I first saw it online but it didn't really wow me in that 'oh-mi-gah-must-buy-now!' way, When I came across it (also on sale) at a department store and tried it on, I discovered that it was perfection. The fit is slightly boxy but the shorter sleeves and length balance out any potential frumpiness, as does the exposed zipper at the back and at the sleeves. It's a cross between a sweatshirt (soft, cozy) and a fair isle sweater (the abstract horizontal pattern and the fuzzy texture) and I'll be wearing it with everything this winter from jeans to floaty skirts and with cropped trousers over a buttoned-up blouse for work. Buy it now, you'll love it!

Yup, they ARE the best!
These flats are, truly, fantastic. I don't know why I waited so long to get them in my life. I'm tempted to send my ballet flats and other moccasins packing. They're just insanely comfortable and well-made (I am seriously infatuated with this brand) and these are just really cool. I'd been looking at some similar styles but was really sold on the quality of the materials here. They're not so delicate and slipper-like that you wouldn't wear them outside and the (securely attached! not obnoxious!) studs are tiny enough that they don't weigh the shoe down or make an annoying jingle sound. And, no uncomfortable breaking-in period! Yessss! Money well spent!

Yay Workshirt!
This is another item I bought from Madewell and am reviewing on Shopbop: I've had this shirt for almost a year now and I find that I end up reaching for it fairly frequently as a lightweight layer to wear (I usually wear it open) over just about everything, from jeans to dresses. I'm really partial to how versatile this color is with different denim washes. While it's not as oversized as Madewell's ex-boyfriend chambray, I disagree with the description where it states the silhouette is feminine and scaled-down. I'm not sure what has been scaled down here...although I do wish the sleeves were slightly longer: mine end about where shown on the model but it's a minor pet peeve since I typically wear the sleeves rolled up.

AMAZING
OMG. I love these shoes. They're so well-made and feel quite comfortable. If you don't mind some toe cleavage happening (I don't), the pointed toe has a nice shape/silhouette without being extreme and I find it slimming (sleek-looking?) on my feet. The basket-woven effect on the suede is a subtle but unexpected hit of texture. Did I mention they were comfortable? They really are. I think they are fairly true to size and slightly roomy. My feet are normal width and I may have been able to go a 1/2 size down...but I can't know for sure as I wasn't able to try on the smaller size.

Polka Dot Love
I got this from my Madewell store and thought I'd review it here. I love the lightweight material of this blazer, and, of course, the polka dot pattern. As for fit, I think the model pictures here on shopbop are more accurate than the ones on the Madewell website, where the jacket looks like it is more fitted at the waist and snug through the shoulders/top of sleeves. The fit, at least on me, is pretty straight, slightly boxy if anything, but because I'm styling it pretty much like it's shown here (casually, with a t-shirt over jeans), I don't mind that it's not more tailored. And, um, it's polka dots. WINNING!
