I thought the dress looked stunning on the model as I am built pretty much the same and, having ordered the xs, I am very happy with size/fit. Was a little concerned about the length of this dress as I am quite tall but actually the hem just covers my bottom so it's totally fine. I adore the material and the colour and finish is quite good too so thumbs up all round really. The only thing I would say, is that underwear tends to show through a lot, so would suggest not wearing any - as nude legs are the way to go and tights look awful with it. If you are more prudish and can't see yourself doing this, then find the tiniest string back g you can find, or nude illusion pants and you'll still look amazing. Pair with some kiler heels/ankle boots or wedge to complete the look!

I am not usually one for shiny sparkly numbers like this, but was invited to a party recently and required something a bit 'stand out' and thought this fitted the bill. Loved the sequins, and overall style, and thought it was quite comfy too. I am 5'11, so a tad taller than the model so ordered the xs like hers and it was perfect. The arms and shoulder weren't too tight, and the length came to just passed my bottom, which was ok - and just long enough, considering I don't wear underwear, so would be perfectly decent for most girls. I know it's not a cheap dress, but was very well made and well worth it. If you have it, then go for it. You won't regret it. DDG

I must have bought 20 dresses from shopbop this year alone.. expensive habit I know.. but with dresses this gorgeous it's hard to resist! This is my fav cocktail dress ever owned. I had never heard of Nicholas before, but the price suggested a good label. I wasn't disappointed. I am about 5'11 with the same build as the model so ordered a 6. It fitted perfectly. Being tall, I worried about the length of the inner slip part as I never wear underwear or tights, but fortunately the hem just about covers my bottom and the long bustle adds just that extra bit of security when walking up a staircase.lol.. I have to say the dress looks totally stunning, and on a recent works party I received the most complements and request for where I got it. I usually wear it with a pair of 6" grey suede heel booties for the best look. My gf wants to buy the same dress but sadly its no longer available in her size. If they have your size - buy it while you can!!!

I have a few good party dresses but love this one lots. Bought in the grey, but probably would have got the black in hindsight. Even so, the grey still looks great on. I just adore the off the shoulder look and the material is really nice. Folds small without creasing. I am 5,11 and slim and the size 0 is fine, just loose enough on top and just long enough to cover my bottom. I never wear underwear, which is just as well with this dress, as you can't wear a bra with it anyway, and panty straps would show through the thin material and look ugly. And you can't wear tights with this dress as it just wouldn't look right somehow. But like I say, it's short but not indecent so you'll be okay with nothing under it - trust me. So, girls, be brave, be careful exiting taxis, and wear it au naturel with nude legs and tall wedges or heel booties for best look. Trust me, you'll look a zillion dollars!

I just adore floaty skirts and dresses (have a wardrobe full of 'em) and this looked so adorable I just had to have it. I wore it all summer long with many complements! I am quite tall (about 5'11 same as the model) and very slim so bought the small. I don't wear underwear and hate tights so I hoped this dress wouldn't be too short, but actually the hem just covers my bottom so its ok. I adore the floaty movement of the dress when walking, and the way the light material floats about in the breeze. Its super comfy and quite well finished and you can't argue with the price. Just a super little dress.

Not my usual style, as I prefer much small bikinis but as large bikini bottoms go these are ok. I am tall but tiny waisted with curves. The xs fits ok. The quality is ok too, for the price, so have no real complaints I guess.

I usually prefer much smaller bikinis but wanted something a bit more respectable for when I 'm not at the beach or pool and walking around town on holiday - and this is just perfect. I am slim but shapely and this looks very pretty on, feels comfy and the xs works ok for me. Like I said, It covers what it needs to cover, so is just a great respectable and really pretty bikini. I guess if you weren't so slim then you could try sizing up first and see how you get on.

I wanted a sexy mini dress for my holiday to Ibiza, and adored the look of this with the sexy cut outs. I am very tall and slim, about 5'11 with a small-ish bust so ordered xs. I wanted it specifically as a dress so the length was important. The hem just covers my bottom which is perfect. The cut outs run the full length of the dress and as I never wear underwear it looks really daring, and certainly an attention grabber in the clubs. During the day its perfect for lounging and really cool, and great to throw on over a bikini when at the beach or by the pool. Amazing at the price.

Perfection.. Thats what. My gf bought me this in small for my birthday. I almost proposed to her there and then! I have never owned a 'proper' label so was blown away. I tend to wear little skirts and dresses so this is just me. I am very tall and slim, about 5'11, with tiny waist and bottom so the xs size was just right. I never wear underwear or tights but the skirt just about covers my bottom and is heavy'ish so doesn't float about that much so it's fine. The finish and qualityof the skirt is breathtaking. I have paired this with a tiny crop top and tall heel ankle booties.. for clubbing. I have paired it with silk blouse and heels and worn smart to work. Either way, half the women in the club asked what label it was, and half of the women at my work company were jealous!! If you only buy one expensive item of clothing this year, then own this skirt because you'll be the talk of the town I promise! (Oh, and to my adoring gf - Mwah!! Thankyou!)

Bought this a while back as I'm a sucker for gypsy wear and gypsy skirts are my fav skirt to wear in the summer. I am about the same size as the model being quite slim and tall (around 5'11) so the skirt looked perfect for a small (my usual). I wasn't disappointed. It's a beautifully made skirt and is ever so comfy and soft to wear. I don't wear underwear and hate tights so always worry about the length of skirts/dresses but in this case it's perfectly decent just covering my bottom. It's nice and floaty and floats about in the breeze as you walk and feels so comfortable on hot days. Pair it with other gypsy wear and wedges (or sneekers!) for a great look. Buy it. Just buy it!!!
