I tried the Carlton and the Mandy styles by Citizens. I was looking for ankle length jean for spring. Despite the rise length given in the description, the Mandy had a higher rise without question by about 1-2cm or so. For my figure, the Mandy just looked/fit better. I am on the short side- about 5'3" on a good day. The wash of the Carlton was distressed and "younger" looking with the whiskering. Also, Carlton has shorter inseam. Mandy has longer inseam and needs to be rolled-up. Both are very cute... For what it is worth, I also tried the white Carlton jeans. The rise on the white Carlton was definitely higher as well.

These jeans fit true to size. I am usually a 29 (although sometimes a 28 in boyfriend fit and a 30 in very skinny fit) and a 29 fit perfectly. I love the shape and the higher waist. I finally feel comfortable bending over without fear of exposing too much. The wash is perfect for summer. Just wish the whiskering didn't go quite as far down on the thigh. But overall a keeper.

Love, love love these jeans. These were a summer staple for me! I didn't roll them up, as I am not a fan of that look. Perfect length too as I'm quite short! Worn with equipment shirts tucked in, classic yet edgy because of the fading on jeans.

I love C of H jeans. Out of all my designer jeans, they seem to be the ones that last forever. The Carlton fit is super sexy with the higher waist and skinny leg. The color of the denim is cool and the wearing is unique in placement. The jeans are great for tucking in a tee with a skinny waist belt and jacket. They look awesome rolled up with a pointy toed, low heeled pump or the Rag & Bone Classic Newbury boots. I usually have all my jeans altered because I am 5'3," but the length is perfect on these. I can wear them unrolled and they hit me right below the ankles. Also, my husband says the jeans are cut very well and they make me look super sexy. (Reference: 119 lbs, 5'3")

I love everything about these jeans. The wash is just as pictured, a gorgeous blue for spring/summer. Very soft, not too stretchy fabric. I usually wear a 28 in designer jeans and these fit true to size. Love the long inseam - I'm 5'11' and they are long enough. Pocket placement is soo flattering and makes my rear look great! Only minor criticism: they fit slightly too loose around the knee area. I wish they flared out a little lower on the leg. But maybe that's just me because I've got pretty skinny legs. Definitenly recommend these for casual wear!!!

I love these and wear them with a gauzy blouse, tank top, or a bohemian top. I love the faded wash for summer and they look great with a wedge or sandal. Beautiful.

Most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. Supersoft ang great stretch. Should have ordered a smaller size, though, but they feel so great that I'm keeping them anyway

I take a size 28 in DL1961 Emma legging jeans so ordered 28 in these. I wear a UK size 10 in other clothes. These jeans are huge, I could probably even go down two sizes to a 26, they are more like a UK/Australian sz 12. Returning these.

I initially ordered my size (28) in high waisted jeans. These i did need to send back and get the smaller size. They stretch a bit, but are comfy, chic boyfriend jeans. Citizens are my favorite and the wash is great! The rise doesn't seem quite 10", that is the only downfall.

I love these jeans. I have been looking for a pair of boyfriend jeans that aren't shredded, aren't too baggy and aren't cut low. These were a little big -- I ordered a size smaller than my usual size. But, they are so comfortable.

I thought these would be an updated version of the boyfriend Jean from a few years ago. However, they are very much the same. So if you never had a pair go for it. Otherwise same old, same old, by the way go a size down.

remember to order 2 sizes smaller I am a perfect 27 in CITIZENS, I ordered the 26 which was enormous. The 25 fit but after wearing it a few days, it has stretched out in the waist. Very comfortable, soft jeans with roomy inside front pockets.

The material is beautiful and the style of these jeans is great! I am 127 and 5'7. Usually I wear a 28 in jeans, but after reading how people described the size of these jeans, I ordered a 27. I could have ordered and 26 and they would have been perfect. Go down 2 sizes!

I'm so happy to have them! Thanks to all previous reviews, I ordered 26(I'm between 26-27)I think I could take even smaller, but like the way these fit. It's my firs CH, and it's just perfect!

I'm normally a 27-28 (mostly a 28) and I bought a 26 in these. After wearing these all day they got even baggier, so I probably could have gotten a 25. I'm 5'5 and 125. But they're very cute, slouchy, pretty perfect boyfriend jeans. The long rise is great - even when they do get baggy, they don't ride down like other jeans can.
