Winter wonder
I bought these a couple weeks ago and I have worn them everyday. They are comfortable, go with everything, and quality leather. I went up a size in these and they fit great. The leather is tight at first.

well made boots
Got these boots almost a year ago, like other reviewers said the leather on this boot is top notch but very stiff. I'm 5'4 and the boot comes just over my knee... I would consider my calves "athletic" but I did not have a problem with the shaft width. Even after a year i still haven't broken them in all the way but I can tell they will last for a long time.

Just not perfect
When these boots arrived they looked awesome, however when I tried them on the ankle area was so baggy and the height of them was just strange. They hit me right in the middle of my knee and when folded down where not comfortable. I'm 173cm tall and do have trouble getting knee high or over the knee boots. I really liked the style of the heel not flat but not really high a heel that could be worn all day. So sad I had to return them but for the price I wanted a perfect boot.

Not an over the knee boot.
I have a Frye collection, love Frye. I was very excited by these, the color is great and it is nice leather and well made. These seem to fit at least a half size big, I got a 9-1/2 which is perfect in the Engineer, but these flop around a bit. They do not stand up like the photo in any way, they are a scrunchy boot, the leather is too soft to stand up. I even tried to tape them on the inside with double sided tape to my jeans! Didn't work. I've sent them to the shoe maker to insert some plastic in the sides to try to hold them up...I hate scrunch boots. Otherwise, I really love them, they are great with jeans....when they stay up!

Love.
I love these boots. I was a little hesitant to get them because alot of the reviews on them said that the leather was too soft and they slouched down too much. I could see this maybe if you're really tall, but these boots look great on me even when they slouch down a little (but they really don't that much). The leather is so soft and luxurious and they are so comfortable. I will be wearing them all the time for many years!

I love these boots! they are awesome! they do not slouch, they stay up very nicely even without jeans to hold them up. I bought them in a size 9 and there is plenty of room to wear some big cozy socks, not too wide though. They are a little bit more brown than gray but it looks great!I am really happy with them and the shipping speed is fantastic! I cannot wait to wear them out!

Frye never fails
This is my third pair of Frye boots - - I always go back for more colors/fits because every single boot is amazing. I have no trouble with the boots "slouching" or falling down. I wear them with tights, OTK socks, or leggings under and the look is classy, yet fashionable. If Frye boots are on sale, it's a no-brainer, purchase as fast as possible.

Not too cowgirl
These looked a little casual online but I think you can get away with these with more outfits than I originally thought. Comfortable, they are lighter than I thought they would be and the smoke is a pretty color, I bought the black too. Love the boot pull loops. Good purchase.

Not for me
I love frye boots and have enjoyed several pair over the years, but over the knee boots are just not for me. I'm 5'4" an size 0-2. My legs are short enough without losing another 5 " of them. This issue aside, there seem to be two calibre of frye boots in terms of quality. Some have very high quality leather and wood soles, and some hv relatively cheap leather and synthetic soles. These boots are of the latter category. I hope that frye hasn't moved away from making high quality boots altogether. The Dorado series is a higher quality boot.

Awesome boots, practical and stylish!
I adore these boots. The quality of the Frye boots is supreme and they are super comfortable. Best of all they look hot on the legs. These boots will also take me from day to night, dress them up, dress them down. The brown/smoke leather colour is gorgeous and will work with most colours in the wardrobe. The boots fit true to size. They are a soft leather and they do not scrunch on my legs as an earlier reviewer suggests. If you have super skinny legs obviously the boots will have a looser fit around the calfs. Never thought Id say it but bring on winter so I can give these babies a run. Another great Shopbop purchase :)

Great Boots
Boots are extremely comfy, and run half a size large. Only reason i give them 4 stars is because they're definitely not over the knee. I'm 5 7 and they come to the knee when you put them on. Leather is fab, but when you start walking around they scrunch down. Either way, still a great boot.

Amazing boot - Amazing price!
I am addicted to Frye boots, and when I saw these, I fell in love. The quality of the leather is beautiful. Because the leather is so soft, the boot is a bit slouchy, but I think they look great. They stayed just under my knee and they look amazing with a skirt and OTK socks. They are true to size and were comfortable as soon as I put them on - you cannot beat Frye quality. I am 5'6" and about 140 pounds, and I have never had a problem with boots fitting over my calves. These are roomy in the calf, so I think they would be great for those who have boot/calf issues! The price of $214 for a Frye boot is amazing -- buy them! They are beautiful and versatile and soft as butter!

gorgeous boots!
They are a bit tough to get on through the ankle but once they are on there is plenty of room in the toe, I am glad that I didn't get a bigger size. I get loads of compliments on them too :)

Beautiful boots
I was hesitant to buy these because of the price, but I really love them. I have the black and sized half a size down from my usual Frye size after reading some reviews on other sites. The elastic sides really make the boot fit perfectly in the leg and they are very comfortable. I was concerned that they would be too tall and hit in an awkward spot on my knee (I am 5'5") but it is not a problem at all. So far I have only worn them with jeans tucked in, but they are a great boot that will go with almost anything. The button detail on the back is a nice extra. I have a number of boots/shoes from Frye now and am quite happy with all of my purchases.

Beautiful Boot
This is a beautiful boot! Exactly what I have been looking for! High shaft, minimal detail, well made. I am a perfect size 6 1/2 US, 36 EU. I ordered the 6 1/2 and I really could have ordered a whole size down. The size 6 was already sold out. After reading the reviews I thought I could get away with the 6 1/2 and a heavy sock, but not to be. The shaft fits well. I'm 5'6" and it hits just below my knee, nice and snug, but still allows to tuck your skinny jeans in. So disappointed! now it's my quest to find them in a 5 1/2!!
