Helmut Lang Reviews and Ratings

As with most of Helmut Lang pieces the fabric is very sheer - you'll need a slip or tights on the lower half. The dress is interesting, I don't see it being something you pull out for a dressy occasion or a casual occasion, it falls somewhere between. One big drawback is the pattern placement - there is a blotch right above the bust in the centre of the dress that looks like a stain. Every time I've put the dress on I look closely to see if indeed that's what it is but it's the pattern. Overall, an expensive sometime dress that is comfortable and will turn heads.

I was unsure as to whether I should stick to my usual xs or get a small. With no other reviews I guessed on xs. I think it's perfect. It's loose enough in the bum that you don't need to worry about it being clingy.

I am going to get a stack of wear out of this one. It combines a clean looking white shirt that will be great for work with a bit of an edge. I love the back! While it's long and will hide any imperfections in that area it is incredibly flatterring ie. doesn't add kg's, and is unique. Exactly what I was expecting.

Looks just as great with hot pants and sneakers for weekend afternoons in the city as it does with slacks for work. Lovely tailoring and quality like all Helmut Lang pieces.

A bit of a strange fit. The back has darts that coupled with the way the bottom is cut a kind of balloon effect in the back waist area. It seems to be cut smaller on bottom than in the middle and with the dart on the top of the back yolk it bags out in the middle over that area you do not want larger. I think if you have a very slight figure it would be better. Quality is really great, as usual with this brand. Beautiful wrinkled cotton fabric. I would keep it if I didn't look so awful in it.

I love Helmut Lang however my last 2 purchases have been so disappointing. This dress looks great on the model and my skin tone is just slightly lighter so I thought I could pull it off however it just wasn't that an attractive an item in real life. Like the other item I sent back, this dress photographs well however it just doesn't hold up in real life. I really wanted to like this dress but it just didn't make it for me.

This is a great day to night dress! I wear mine with Sam Edelman Gigi sandals throughout the day, and white Ivanka Trump pumps for dinner. An instant transformation from a trendy summer dress, to a chic cocktail dress. I love the "nude" trend right now, but I am pale, so I feel bland in skin tones. The variety neutral colors in this dress are the perfect solution for me. Even though it has two layers, it is see-through, so make sure you wear nude under garments.

This top drapes so beautifully and the pale grey makes it look sumptuous. The sheerness of the arms and side panels make it special and lovely. It's a standout piece that i'll enjoy wearing for a long time. It's perfection.

This knit has really good texture. More beautiful than what looks on the pic. But it was very thin and loosen more suitable for spring.

I love this sweater! the knit is definitely more beautiful than in the pictures and is extremely soft. It fits well, has a great neckline, and is very flattering (i think for almost anyone). I would say it's fairly warm; great for fall. It will pull easily though, so be VERY careful, especially with zippers/hooks. Can be worn multiple ways.. very versatile.

I actually purchased this in a different color. It's super soft light weight enough to wear on a breezy summer night but can be carried into the fall. Will def. Be a staple piece

I loved this sweater so much I bought it in 2 different colors! The fabric is sooooo soft and comfortable! This sweater can easily be worn all year round because of the fabrication..... The only thing is to be careful because it snags easily, but it actually adds a little character to the sweater when it does.

Great fabric,color and fit. Very nice if you have sensitive skin as the fabric is very soft. You can choose if you want it to hang on one shoulder or wear it as on the picture. I really love this sweater!!!
