This shirt is lovely the first few times you wear it, and then the fabric absolutely disintegrates. Holes, shrinks, pills, the whole mess. If only they could stay brand new forever-- the tissue thin is great but really cannot hold up and sadly I don't think this is a good investment.

i love this shirt! pricey, but worth it!

I bought this tee for $85. Wore it 3 times and the 4th, it had several "almost" pills over the chest area. I figured it could be the purse's handle but it looked as if it had been brushed almost all over the chest. That same day went for luch and my sister points on a hole, a little smaller than a nickle, it looked like a pull/tear towards the hem... At the drycleaners they told me that cleaning it wouldn't improve the look of the tee, on the contraire, it might look even worse. It is a very nice looking tee, gorgeous, loose, flowy, soft, but just keep in mind that this is to be enjoyed only a handful of times and then tossed. Disapointing.

I read other reviews on this shirt but disregarded them b/c I like Kain's tees. But this one was way too sheer. It will be returned.

I have yet to purchase a Kain Label piece I do not love.

My first review for this shirt was 4-star. The first few days I loved it but now that I've had it for over a year, I decided to do a haul. When you first buy it, the shirt's great: incredibly soft and comfortable. But even after I took it to the dry cleaner's for the first time (and now I do think it's ridiculous to have to dry clean a tee), it started to lose its shape. I'm also extremely disappointed at how fast it pilled. If I'm paying anything over $80 for a t-shirt, I expect it not to pill. C&C did a great soft shirt for the same price that was 50% modal/50% cotton that didn't pill at all, even though I wore that thing to death. I also bought a shirt from Saks for around $30 and it's super soft and has never pilled. Kain simply makes expensive t-shirts that are poor quality.

This is a cute comfy top, but it is super sheer, I use it as a cover up for the beach and pool

super soft. A basic tee that's not so basic. It looks amazing alone with a necklace or under a blazer, tuxedo jacket or a cardigan.

I wish I had bought more... love the fit and the fabric. The most perfect casual tee.

This shirt is very comfortable but is see through since its such a thin material. It is also very fragile so be careful with it! The material easily snags, don't be surprised if holes appear. It also stretches easily. If you are willing to wear it every so often and dry clean it only when necessary then you should be safe.

This tee is sheer and I can barely feel it on my body. Perfect tee for a very hot summer. True to size. Darker than I expected (I got it in grey).

I LOVE this top and I considered returning it because it is so diaphanous and I was worried it would not hold up to washing, but I couldn't get myself to take it off. In fact....I may have bought it in another color. I've heard the tees from Kain don't hold up, but I'm willing to give it a go with hand washing. Hopefully I can keep these around for a while - they're super soft and very casually chic.

High quality fabric. Very soft. Expect a sheer t-shirt.

The shirt was so long and formless that it hung to my hips. I guess in the picture you could expect it to be a longer but it looked like a shapeless grocery bag on me. The cotton was so thin and transparent I doubt it would hold it shapes for long or last through washes and wear. I don't want a tee shirt I have to take to the dry cleaners to maintain.

Ordered one in black and white. The styling is great but the fabric is not! It is so fine and flimsy that when wearing it the neck won't even hold it's shape. The delicate nature of the fabric makes it susceptible to catching and also means the garment requires dry-cleaning therefore I would not recommend this garment
