I was initially attracted to these jeans because of their gorgeous light blue wash, which is even better in person. I'd say it's a little lighter than photographed. I found them to be true to size. I have never tried Genetic Denim prior to these ones, and I'd definetly have to say I'm a fan! The length is perfect, and the rise is low/mid and the pocket placement on the back is pretty good too! I'm a fan of these!

Generally OK for the sale price, but definitely not worth full price. Quality of denim is not very comfy, since it is not strechy and quite thick. I just feel uncomfortable in these jeans, they are tight and doesn't fit well. I took my usual size and I can put them easily, but they fell tight and uncomfy during the day anyway. Not work for me.

These are just as they look on the model true to size and comfortable.

This is true to size when you first wear it, until a few hours of wear later stretches out 1 to 2 sizes. The material is soft and stretchy, and it fits very well, but size down if you want it to fit snug even after wear. My size unfortunately is 24, so there is no sizing down for me.. sad that this did not work for me.

I agree that the sizing is larger than normal, especially the waist. I usually wear a 24 and I have the 24. The leg is slimming and it is super duper soft. I can handle a larger waist. It's nothing that a longer shirt or a belt can't fix. ;)

The Shya are the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. I'm glad I read the previous reviews as I wear size 26 but I ordered the 25 and the fit is amazing! They are a must-have if you're looking for an all season pair. You will not regret it.

I do not have many Genetic Denim jeans, but loved the bone color of these. The color in person is beautiful. However, I ordered my true size 25 (I'm 5'1, 104lbs) and the fit was a bit off. They only have 1.5% elastaine in them as opposed to the normal 2% or higher in other brands. It makes a difference. Not super comfortable.

I didn't realize that these were coated jeans... Also, the jeans are darker than pictured. Do not recommend!

From what I've read, people have been raving about Genetic Denim, but I don't think this brand is for my body type. I am athletic build, 5'6, size 28 and I usually have minimal problems finding styles that fit, so I wanted to give GD a try. The quality looked good, but this style was very loose around the waist and thighs and is not fitted as pictured. It is not your typical stretchy, skinny jeans. More like a straight leg jean with a very straight, loose waist. Definitely, not for me. The color is nice tho. A slightly greyish, off-white. I will try and get the same color in a different brand. My usual favorite brand jeans is Citizen of Humanity.

I ordered my normal denim size 24 and found these to have a strange fit. The fabric was cut wide in the legs and then was super pinned at the ankle. It created a weird silhouette that was unflattering.

genetic denim are my favorite brand they are true to size and do fit perfectly not to tight like u cant breath so comfortable and this design is so chic i love the holes and the color of it

Love the urban yet chic look of these jeans. Fit is just as expected (no need to size up or down) and I even like that they are a bit too long for me (I'm 5'3) because they look just as great cuffed. May get them hemmed when I get tired of that look though :)

These jeans feel awesome on. Super comfy and love the slightly higher waist. Im a 28 in J Brand but these I could definitely go for a 27. They are also really long on my 5'2 frame which is fine - But Ill return and decide if ill rebuy in smaller size...

I LOVE these jeans! I can't take them off. I wear a 26 in J Brand and took a 25 in these. The fit is perfect and they are very flattering! Love them so much I bought 2 more pairs from Revolve Clothing. Sad Shopbop doesn't have anymore in my size. :( Otherwise I would have bought them here.

These are great slim fitting high rise jeans. They fit exactly as they do on the model. If between sizes, I would size down, but they fit pretty much true to size.
