Classic DVF
I ordered the last one in my size, and the dress that arrived from shopbop.com had a defect - one of the seams was left unfinished and you could see the interfacing all along the skirt - but this dress was so cute that I contemplated taking it in to the tailor and keeping it, anyway. The fit is like most DVF wraps; for me, it's typically a size smaller than her other dresses. I'm 5'6" and I would have had to take it up to wear it with flats. I was initially concerned that the dress would be frumpy, but it somehow manages to cover everything up and still be very sexy. Ultimately, though, I couldn't justify spending so much money (even on sale) on a dress that needed significant tailoring, so I sent it back :(

I agree with other review - great dress and I get lots of compliments everytime I wear it. But DVF sizing is somewhat strange these days. I have needed to size down to a 2 in everything I have bought over the past year, but with this dress, the 2 is a little tighter than my other dresses - still kept it in that size but if you are in between sizes like I am, go for your larger size!

Attainable glamour
The 'Abigail' dress has become a firm favourite of mine. What seems like a conservative garment on a clothes hanger becomes something very flattering, sexy and alluring when worn. Somehow this elongated version of the classic DVF wrap dress exudes a different kind of glamour from the shorter version. I know I walk more confidently when I wear this dress which definitely draws appraising looks. Where it fails, in my opinion, is the inconsistent sizing compared to the usual DVF sizing, hence the 4 stars. I am usually a size 8 in DVF dresses but had to take a size 10 for this one! The sleeves, shoulders and bust seem more fitted than other DVF wraps. But other than that I'm in love with this dress.
